Would Riki be very hard to get and probably low tier? Maybe.

Bullshit. Gradual Grinder boss-killer Heropon Riki is the highest of tiers!

@Pulse: Or Hanafuda cards.
Hanafuda aren't quite as readily conducive to Smash battles, though- I could easily see the Ultra Machine as a gun-type item that lobs weighted table tennis balls in an arc, or an Ultra Hand that can be used to grab from range-Hanafuda might make an interesting Assist, though, perhaps along the lines of Junior Clown Car's Final Smash?

No! You must not give up yet! Not before my trai- I mean, you must have faith in yourself. You are one of the greatest Smashers of Tv Tropes! Maybe you just need a small break.

Well, that happens. You'll bounce back eventually.

Was it against particular characters or just certain players? And were you using Greninja or your other characters?

And in regards to the topic of new items, what's an Ultra Hand? I ended up thinking of a version of Master Hand that looks like the Power Glove, but I'm sure that's not what anyone means. tongue

A bit of both. I hate dealing with Diddy Kong and I don't have much practice against Bowser Jr. There was also a pretty good guy with Ness that wrecked me. And yeah I used Greninja in all matches.

I did learn that Greninja has a combo that can get Dedede from 0% to 89% though tongue

*Breaks Challenge with Golden Hammer*

*Feels p satisified*

*Gets over 50 kills than rival with Rosalina on first try much MUCH later and I'm not even good with her*

I've been hearing a lot of good things about Ness, which is good since I plan to see how well I do with him once again (I haven't really used him since 64, and I used Lucas in Brawl).

Speaking of Rosalina & Luma, one of their supposed nerfs is that Luma will no longer be able to act when Rosalina is grabbed, according to people who played one of the Wii U version demos at Gamestop. There have been debates on whether or not that's true (and, you know, whether or not people are just fishing for nerfs instead of trying to learn the matchup), as well as whether or not it'd seriously affect Rosalina & Luma's potential.

We know at least that Luma's respawn time was definitely nerfed with 5 more seconds.

Dangit! Can someone show me some video evidence or somesuch of one of those amazing Ness combos that I hear so much about? I just hear sometimes about how good he is now, but nothing about why or how. And evidently from just messing around with him and playing him the same way I play every character, I haven't come across the solution myself.

Finally had a Smash Run where one of the computer players got 1000 in a single stat (defense). And it happened to be Greninja. tongue

Luckily, the Final Battle was a team match, and Greninja was on my team, but I really wanted to see how strong my attacks (as DK) were against someone with that much defense.

I really wish the Final Battles that happen to mimic the Smash mode would contribute to the "Play 50 hours of Smash" Challenge.

$60 US for the game plus $20 US for the controller plus another $20 for the adapter. It's a fair price, by my reckoning.

Yeah, but my dad is already on the fence about it being $60.

He won't like it being $99, especially considering it won't be the only game I ask him to get me fro Christmas.

$20 is the cheapest I've ever seen a first-party controller go for. $40 is the cheapest I've ever seen a first-party controller go for.

I passed on the controller, I probably already have 8 of them. They don't all work too great, but I still got the gamepad and two Wiimotes.

I just need the game, probably an adapter or two, some good amiibos...and some more human players. ;p

Fortunately, I have a friend, his girlfriend, and all of their friends that I could probably host a Smash-off myself.

I have the whole set-up ready: Gamepad + 3 Wiimotes (2 nunchucks) + Current GC controller + Smash GC + 2 friends' GC controllers. I sure like it when this stuff comes togheter so neatly.

I only have three functioning GC controllers, so the bundle that comes with the adaptor and a controller was a boon to me.

Man, hard to think this is the final week. It's gonna be a long one, though...
