Temple is back, baby. Showing off some Zelda characters. For the last 3 filler spots for 8-Player Smash, they went with Ganondorf, Toon Link, and Link.

WOOO, Now my friends can continue to play that stage over and over again and NOTHING ELSE!!!!

Kidding though, I love that stage, and I'm really hoping to eventually play 8 player on it.

Also really want all the Amiibos, but they're expensive and they're so many games coming out Spring 2015! I'll probably get Link to start off with, for the Spinner in Hyrule Warriors! tongue

I am suddenly incredibly envious of the Wii U version

well other than how I hate the lack of detail visible on 3D models in the 3DS version while fighting already

speaking of which I once had a Mega Smash as a Smash Run battle

in which I could see EVERYONE CLEARLY

I wish I could just have that as a setting all the time

Okay, after taking way too long do to being a bit of an idiot, the Hylian in that second picture is from The Wind Waker and reads "Smash Bros" in Japanese.

Hold on to your hats guys, because we're getting a BALANCE PATCH. And yes, there is evidence that this is an actual balance patch this time. Although knowing Nintendo, don't expect any patch notes.

I really hope they don't make Mac even MORE useless due to the tears of a few scrubs.

I wonder if this runs upwards or downwards.

But be sure the community will be all over this in hours. We'll have everything torn apart in a day.

[up][up]Same here, since I sort of main the guy.

I also hope they actually specify what sort of changes they're doing, but somehow I doubt they will.

Oh, and to note, if you have replays saved and update to the new version (which isn't out yet, FYI), the old replays won't work with them due to changes with the game's inputs.

I'd better record mine somehow then. I have three matches that I won at literally the last second.

It's how some games handle replays since saving actual video files will take up too much space.

Unless they fix the gust bellows, then it is not a balance patch.

MY MOUTH LITERALLY HUNG OPEN I DID NOT EXPECT THIS

Will I be actually able to play Palutena and Pikachu?!

(Speaking of Pikachu, I need to somehow record that replay I had with Pulse... It's not possible to send replays to others yet, is it?)

@Baffle: Ehh, I definitely think Little Mac could stand to be rebalanced. That's not to think that I think he's necessarily overpowered in the grand scheme of things, but in himself he's just too lopsided, overpowered among lesser skilled players, almost completely useless on a lot of stages... just making his strengths and weaknesses a little less pronounced would make him a better character, I think. I don't necessarily want him to suck competitively or anything. I think overall it would be a good thing to make him strong enough in other respects that they can get rid of the super-armor on his smashes, they are fast enough and really one of the things that make him too much on a casual level because it rewards even sloppy playing. At least that's what I think, I know I'm not that intricately knowledgeable about this game.

Don't belittle someone for something they can or cannot do like some kind of ten year-old bully. Maybe they do have bad eyesight. Maybe they're like me and have difficulties processing visual data of too many tiny objects moving independently because of ADHD. Maybe it's something else entirely. In any case it's none of your business.

I'm kind of interested on seeing what kind of mess would ensue if they let you load old replay data using the game after it's been balanced. Probably nothing espectacular, but I'd be amusing to see the ocassional self-destruct streaks.

Xenoblade Chronicles needed an entire operation for it to come over to America, even after Europe gave it an English dub. And Reggie apparently insulted Disaster: Day of Crisis, another Monolith Soft game that never made it to America.

Otherarrow Since: Jul, 2010
#63824: Nov 11th 2014 at 11:18:24 AM

If I recall, there was never any intention to bring Disaster over. The developers explictly said they didn't want it to leave Japan.

Also, the guy is allowed to have preferences, and I somehow don't think the reluctance to bring Xenoblade over was due to a grudge.

I dunno, this seems to get into "Reggie hates Mother" levels of silly.

I'm pretty sure the real reason was because of low sales outside Japan (and possibly inside Japan) and low reception overall. It wasn't worth bringing over. That and I felt like making a joke at NOA's expense, because once again a Xenoblade release is restricted to one store.
