Little Mac does not have an unfair advantage on Omega stages. The game was balanced assuming those would be the only stages played. The massive airspace only contributes to his weakness.
Sorry. Slight Berserk Button there.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerI really hate that 2d bird thing in the...Magicant or something stage. Every other hazard in the 3DS version hasn't really bothered me too much. Even the Yellow Devil (although I will admit that it is really annoying when it moves to the other side.)
Tiny platforms bother me a lot more (when there isn't anything substantial underneath anyway.) Also pretty much every single wall that stops my projectiles. I had Pit use the Piercing Bow custom no matter what drawbacks it has just because of that. There's also weird places like Jungle Japes where the wooden stair things totally look like you could stand on them but nope.
Is a walkoff supposed to be when you can go significantly offstage and still not get KO'd? (I find those pretty annoying too. Mostly because, well, you can't really see them and I have no idea just how far it goes.)

MMORPGs are serious business.![]()
Arena Ferox has a layout featuring a solid set of platforms over the main floor, which can lead to a cave of life effect like the catacombs in Temple, and the trees on Tortimer Island can produce healing fruits and potentially-explosive coconuts and durians. There's also occasionally sharks in the water and Kap'n can potentially carry a fighter off with him on his boat past the blast line.
All the same, none of them are bad enough that I wouldn't accept them as counterpicks, at least. Same goes for Reset Bomb Forest.
Walkoff stages are stages where the edges of the ground extend past the blast line on the sides- So, stages like Boxing Ring and Living Room and some of the stops on Rainbow Road and Prism Tower.

I sure said that!![]()
In Ferox, destructible environments stop orojectiles. Tortimer's Island has a very short lower blast zone and items. I think they should at least be Counterpick though.
x5 Maybe Nabbit is insta-kill the same way Galaga is i.e. not really if you just shake it off.

Tortimer Island variations occasionally have permanent walls which can cause infinites. They're fine if the stage changes in some way (that's why Pokemon Stadium 1 is counterpick) but if it's a permanent part of the stage it's banned. Arena Ferox has a Cave of Survival (think bottom layer of Temple or Spear Pillar) which is bad regardless of whether or not the stage changes, and it's also extremely to circle-camp on with most of the variations.

I'm still honestly confused why Tomodachi Life is banned, though. I mean, it doesn't even have any hazards.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerAw what? I love Balloon Fight! The stage loops
and I've loved the Balloon fight theme since Melee.

Choke on a tall nut Irish.
Some of these stages are amazing, but due to the hazards, I just can't stand to play on some of them (I'm looking at you Flying Man). Because of this, the only stages I find myself on are Tortimer Island, Fox Arena, and the boxing arena.

We are all made of star stuff. Very, very weird star stuff.
