@Countof Bleck: You know that pic is fanmade, right?
Duck Hunt's trailer was amazing. My favorite part was him getting smacked by his own splash text.
Potentially yet, anyway. So far(and probably will stay the case), he's just a Hazard/Assist and for the first time ever(Wii U version only), he has zero appearance in any SSB game(the 3DS version). He's been a background element in the first game, in the opening of the second, a boss(twice) in the 3rd, and just a hazard/assist combo in the Wii U version. Why he doesn't have a Trophy in the 3DS version, nobody knows.
Shadow? As far as Ridley goes, he was a background element in SSB, appeared in the intro in Melee, got upgraded to boss in Brawl and stage boss/assist in Wii U. As far as having no trophy in 3DS goes, Metroid has been mostly on consoles.

Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Just saw the Duck Hunt Duo's trailer while catching up with the Direct. The music combined with the lazy look in the Dog's eyes gave me some stoner vibes.
And again, Mario's leading a group of characters to fight the Newcomers. He's starting to act like Nintendo's version of Ryu, picking fights with just about anyone (except it seems Mario has a posse).

Pinball was from what I understand a remake of Metroid Prime in pinball form.
All jokes aside, I suspect the main reason for its lack of trophies is because most trophies come from a series' most recent handheld game, and Metroid's only model-based handheld games are Hunters and Pinball, which use low-res models.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! As Nintendo's character-in-chief, it's up to Mario (and his associates) to test the worthiness of Smash newcomers. Prove yourself to the King, and you grab yourself a slot.
This would also explain why most of the trailers have Mario and Co getting soundly beaten by the newcomers; we're seeing the moment they proved themselves worthy.

"We're home, Chewie."Of course, Mario's holding back against the newcommers to give them a fair chance. After all, if they can't beat him when he's holding back considerably, what chance do they have against his full strength?
