- Press "down."
- Bonzai Bills? Hit them a lot.
- Depends, is there a character you're particularly good with? I've found I'm better at it with my mains and ones that I just generally play as more often.
- Which one? The Reaper? If him, he's the easiest Smash Run boss to kill. Spam lasers and homing missiles and you'll be fine.
Yeah, even with Pacman I still had over two minutes left, though it was at 8.5 because I got killed once.
@Customer: Master Core is actually still fairly challenging, or at least the swords are and classic still kicks my butt even when I'm playing as Greninja so it's definitely not easy for me. I just found it odd that people were losing to time-outs when until they mentioned it, I was never actually aware Master Core had a time limit in his fight.
As for Greninja, well, the frog certainly wants to be seem as serious and cool
Banzai Bills: I just attack them, even if it may risk me being hit myself. Unless they're low to the ground (so you can smash attack them), there's not too many ways to hit them without getting hit by them outside of ranged aerials, smashes, and projectiles. If your Attack stat isn't high enough to kill them quickly, I'd just ignore them if they're too much trouble.
Platforms: Tap down to go through "soft" platforms.
Reaper: If it sees you, NES music plays and mini-Reapettes spawn while the Reaper itself just turns left and right. If you're in front of it, it'll swing its scythe. You can just bait it into attacking you and roll to the other side of it while it swings at you and hit it. Or you can just keep rolling behind it when it turns, attack, and roll behind it again when it turns again.
Fun fact: it seems that if your attack is high enough, a strong down smash may trip one of the boss enemies, causing them to tumble. I've done it to a Reaper and a Mimicutie (the walking treasure chests) quite a few times.
Yeah I've forgotten that it had a time limit too. How many minutes does it give you anyway? And does the time count the fight with the Hands too?

Master Core's sword form can go <censored>. The rest of that fight? Perfectly manageable, but that section just is overpowered.
So, you guys remember Brawl Taunts? I just rewatched all three of them, and, I gotta tell you, I have no idea why I ever found them so funny back then.
Insert witty 'n clever quip here.I imagine the time troubles are due to having trouble reading the form moves and/or playing too defensively. It's very easy to forget the clock even exists, and when it takes about 5 or 10 seconds to transition between forms it's understandable that can happen. That said, I just went at him with my attack boosted as high as I can manage.

If you're referring to a giant bone-like targeting reticle, it's from one of the little purple-squid-skull enemies (I forget their names), particularly the one with a feather headdress and a bone "wand" instead of a cannon or bone/shield. If you're far from it, but it notices you, it'll try to cause an explosion (or something) where you're at, which is telegraphed by the targeting reticle. Just hit it/kill it to avoid it.

There is NOTHING more useful than being able use a hammer whenever you want and use temporary invincibility while you're at it. It actually gives you a fighting chance against the bosses.

Souleye - PPPPPP - Potential for Anything 3DS FC: 2621-3105-8671I think some of the heavy hitters who are still reasonably mobile, with a bit of equipment slapped on, are among the best choices for Smash Run. I had an exceedingly pleasant and successful time with both Bowser and DK. They usually just need to hit enemies once, you get power-ups quickly, and even without speed and jump boosts they are absolutely not too slow to get around. In fact their mobility can be better for a platforming environment like that than, say, Pit or Fox.
Excellent point. DK and Bowser both have roughly middle-of-the-road speed and jumps, with their reputation for iffy recovery coming from how Whirling Fortress and Spinning Kong are mostly horizontal instead of vertical. They do handle themselves pretty well in Smash Run- Better than, say, Meta Knight.
I sure said that!I thought Bowser was considered to be on the slower side. I would certainly appreciate being heavier though (watching Dark Pit get slammed on 5 walls at 200% from a minor enemies' whack is not fun.)
On another note, I just got the Super Armor power, which (if I'm guessing its purpose correctly) either sounds like THE BEST THING EVER, or it's probably too short in duration to even matter.

MMORPGs are serious business. Not to mention, I think their first jumps are actually above average? Which is why they get around a lot better than Pit. For example. I just really had so much trouble with Pit, it's crazy. Dude just feels so slow in the air and takes so many hits to kill anything. Really not looking forward to my run with Metaknight. Though the really "interesting" is gonna be Olimar...
Strangely enough, Bowser is actually... really fast. He has some considerable landing lag after some moves, particularly landing, sure, but leaving yourself vulnerable for a second isn't nearly as fatal in Smash Run as it is in a match against real people. And they both have plenty of attacks that are no less quick than other character's, and likely stronger. Bowser's fair, DK's bair, both nairs, tilts, etc.

Rock Hurl is more multipurpose than Rock Smash thanks to its anti-air capabilities but doesn't hit as hard. Dragon Rush is awesome for clearing lots of minor-league enemies at once, too.
Charizard is speedy on the ground but even with three jumps it'll have trouble climbing high quickly.

I sure said that!

Some Smash Run questions:
Is there any way to go under a platform with Dark Pit and Robin? I missed 2 wrench bags and a treasure chest flying up too high on my most recent run.
What do you guys do to deal with those huge flying bullet things? I've been trying to shoot arrows at it but it's taking too long even with all attack equipment, but I can't melee it with how it's going to hit me if I get to close through collision alone. Actually pretty much all of the things that have an "aura" give me this same problem.
Is there a character that's particularly good at Smash Run? While I'm trying to get custom moves on two specific characters, I feel that getting better powers first is more important at the time.
And does that asshole with the super-knockback scythe EVER DIE?
MMORPGs are serious business.
