What about Palutena with Lightweight or Shulk with Monado Speed? I know those are temporary, but would they affect Sonic's style in any way?
For that matter, exactly how fast is Shulk with Monado Speed activated?

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."The way it works in most matches is it'll start off looking like I'm doing awesome, and then once they're above 100% they start annihilating me, so long as they know how to avoid my up-smash. Which is pretty easy to do, since you can get out of the last spike by moving sideways while it spins. Not sure about b-air as a kill move. Doesn't seem to work for me... Don't know.
I also tend to self-destruct by trying to recover with spin-dash.
Probably because they're directly derived from Mario's Fireball more than usual.
I miss the old physics they had, but eh. Not that big of a deal, they're still a decently annoying throwing thing.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaOh wow I just had a very good day on For Glory today.
This is how my records were when I stopped playing yesterday
◊
I'm surprised with myself.
Now we got something worse
than the Peach glitch in For Glory.
Apparently the glitch had to do with some huge miscalculations involving the end of daylight savings.
It's hilarious until it happens to you, is the way I see it.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaThe article notes that you should still be decently safe on 1v1.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyAnyone here using the Mii Swordfighter? Right now I'm using the Gale Strike, the Slash Launcher, the Hero's Spin and the Reversal Slash for my specials, but I have no idea on as to how "unbalanced" I'm being due to this or something.
Blade Counter looks like it could be useful but I am not used to the controls enough to use it precisely, I have no idea how to control the Chakram (any more than other projectile specials anyway), and the Shuriken of Light seems to be not worth using with Gale Strike around...but maybe I'm just not looking into delays as well as I should be.
If all of the moves are useful in their own right and are just there to be used according to the user's playstyle or something, then I probably don't need more input, but that's rarely the case.
MMORPGs are serious business.Gale Strike owns as a projectile. Shuriken of Light/Shining Shuriken is worse, but also pretty spamable which is good for racking up percents. Slash Launcher/Surging Slash is neat, though can be replaced with the Chakram (slow multi-hit projectile if input is done, faster single-hit projectile if input is smashed). Hero's Spin is pretty much Link's Spin Attack: I'm rather fond of it, though I'm partial to Stone Scabbard/Back In The Stone because of the name (and similiarity to Kirby and Ike's Up Bs). Blade Counter is cool, though I'm partial to Reversal Slash/Reflect Spin because it's Mario's Cape in sword strike form and that's awesome!

Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Super Smash Bros. for Wii U info now available! Check it out!

Toon Link is awesome. I think his dair got nerfed a little, which is a good thing even when I'm playing as him because I don't like feeling like I just have this one move that does everything for me. He's a little floaty for my tastes, but other than that, I love his straightforward projectiles (I never use bombs) and that he still has considerable strength for someone his speed. Definitely one of my better characters even though I don't play as him all that often. He just works and feels a lot more usable than in Brawl somehow, where I couldn't get used to him because he felt like a floaty sponge that could dair and nothing else.
It's kills he has trouble with, because his best option is his up smash and that's... not the easiest to get.
OR you can try meteor smashes while over the side of the stage; the spring should work fine for that.
But yeah, those are pretty much the only options unless your opponent really leaves themselves open.
