I'd hardly call Pictochat, Electroplankton, or anything about NSMB 2 "iconic".

Wasn't Kraid in a stage in Melee? And the Metroid stage in Melee's adventure mode - particularly the escape part - a direct reference to the early Metroid games?
Note that 64 was mostly made up of original stages heavily inspired by but not directly taken from their home series as well.

True, but my point is that that doesn't mean he's unwilling to use content from games he didn't make.

I'd ask for DLC, but Sakurai already sounds like he's one more crunch away from an aneurysm, so you know what, just leave it as it is. Mewtwo's fine.

So? Saffron City doesn't have more than one skyscraper in it either. None of the areas where you ever meet Whispy Woods throughout the whole series have blocks in them. Icicle Mountain looks next to nothing like the original Icicle Mountain from Ice Climber. The actual stage area of the 64 Princess Peach's castle isn't based off of anything (the actual direct reference is visible in the background, much like Kraid).
These differences don't somehow mean these stages weren't meant to reference their home series after all - likewise, him rising out of lava doesn't somehow make Kraid being there not a reference to Metroid. He is, after all, still there.

The problem is that it straight-up has nothing to do with Metroid. That environment was never in a Metroid game, whereas Saffron City was at least still a city and Icicle Mountain was still a frozen mountain and neither were forests or something, which is essentially what happened with Brinstar.
I'm not complaining that it isn't exactly right, I'm complaining that it's almost entirely wrong.
I sure said that!Two, technically.
Though nobody will blame you for forgetting Forest Area.

Nothing new, but unless you didn't notice during the Direct, it appears you still have a "Parts" limit like in Brawl.
Waddle Dee confirmed leak legit spoiler list updated etc etc

- Isaac
... only character I can think of who's really missing from the game. I'd also support the people who want Lucas back even though I don't care that much myself, but Ness' custom specials seem a lot like they already ruled him out, and Ridley is entirely impossible now that he'd have to be compared side-by-side to the massive boss version. I'd still love to have Quote or Shantae, but they're also not gonna happen, so, hum.
Terra would be a great Final Fantasy rep. Could represent the ever-present summons from the series in her moveset.
For dlc I want seasonal packs. They would be free holiday themed alts for every character. I say free because I don't think it would be worth paying for something like that. Also pretty much any character you guys have said but mostly waddle dee.

Call me butter, because I am on a roll! 3ds friend code: 5258-0885-3903 Wii U: Bowser CharizardDude, TF 2 makes all its money from hats. If Nintendo wants to milk this thing with silly DLC, that's just good business sense.
I know, but I don't have that much money to spend, sadly.

Well of course something would feel more iconic to someone if they're the ones who made it.
