Little Mac's rolling seems to be better than most, yeah, but from my experience he does leave himself pretty open to attacks if he misses. In fact my main strategy against Little Mac is to bait an attack and proceed to grab him and throw him off-stage and attempt to make sure he won't come back. Greninja is pretty good at fighting him because spamming Water Shurikens will put pressure on Mac and make him try to force his way towards you, making him pretty easy to counter. Hydro Pump also screws him up very badly.
Mac is unorthodox and has an extremely fatal and glaringly obvious weakness, but just plain fun to use once you get past the urge to spam his dash attack.

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerSpeaking of which, Falco's got a Blaster variant that has rapid-fire and no-flinch effects, so Fox is probably cut too.
I sure said that!No specials, Sakurai only, Final Destination
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyThe difference between a mediocre Little Mac player and a good one is knowing how to get the most out of him in the air.
When recovering back to the stage, you have to know whether to side b, up b, or counter (those mario capes mess you up otherwise) in a given situation and try to grab the ledge so as to not get landing lag. He can also WALL JUMP, though no one seems to know that, which makes his up-b reach a lot higher and with a lot of omega stages having long, flat sides, this works for him. All his aerials suck, but his neutral aerial be used right before landing in front of an opponent to combo right into his jabs.

Souleye - PPPPPP - Potential for Anything 3DS FC: 2621-3105-8671RE:Mac: Yep. Mac's only good on the surface because he's a speedy character that hits with the power of Bowser or Ganondorf. If his air game wasn't so horrible, he'd be the obvious Meta Knight this iteration. And as Full Moon said, he has trouble approaching characters who have a good set of range options.
That said, his initial overuse by people trying to cheese wins with him have made him one of the easier characters to counter. And he's far from unstoppable in general. Just... be wary of Macs who know how to use the character (which frankly goes for any character really).
Personally, since I loved his games (although I've never played the Wii version of Punch Out, I watched an LP of it), he'll probably remain as part of my rotation of mains.

.......
You know, I actually had an extremely terrible day with all sorts of terrible depressive thoughts and all, and I actually think beating up Little Macs for several hours is why I feel comparably good right now.
I think I may have a problem.
PS: Now Jigglypuff, there's an all-or-nothing character I can get behind!

I hate fighting Level 9 A.I.s with characters with Counters because they're always frame-perfect when using those moves and it gets annoying very fast.

Without faking out someone Little Mac is easy prey for almost every character.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.@Full Moon: Which is why I hate facing Lucina, Marth, or Shulk in high intensity Classic/All-Star. Same with Reflect characters when I'm Mega Man.
EDIT: Actually, are there any differences with each different characters' Counters? Do they all do the same damage or are they all mechanically different in some way?

Shulk's counter has Bullet Time for whatever reason.
Souleye - PPPPPP - Potential for Anything 3DS FC: 2621-3105-8671The only counter that is any different is Shulk's because his can actually be avoided...other than that they're all the same pretty much.
Its because of that reason that it can be avoided.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice. There might be differences in terms of whether the damage is proportional to the attack being countered and whatnot.
In other news, it's sad that my playstyle doesn't really let me play well with Palutena, Robin or Lucina, but apparently it works for both Bowser and Jigglypuff. I just think that's neat.
Greninja's counter is easily avoidable as well. In fact Substitute is probably his worst move and probably the worst counter in the whole game.
Also I think the Fire Emblem character's factor in the knockback of the move that was going to hit them, I don't think Little Mac or Palutena do that with theirs.

They all return a different percentage of damage.
It does.

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I can tell you for a fact that Mac counters proportional to the damage of the countered attack because when i Countered a Warlock punch, Ganondorf died at 30%.

But then his dodging seems extremely good, too, and he barely leaves himself open and every attack comes out so fast... Eh. I dunno. Heh, I'm almost tempted to pick him up as a secondary main under the hypothesis that I wouldn't even get mad for losing with him.
