Today I learned that Training Mode has the option to make the CPU flee from you and use every defensive tool in their arsenal not to get hit. They're even programmed to punish you sometimes if you leave yourself open, which is, in itself, pretty cool.
I also learned that Mac is not just broken offensively. I started with Zero Suit Samus because I figured I might as well go all out and try catching the speediest character, but no. She was a piece of cake compared to Mac. Who could also punish anything with a Smash attack whenever he felt like it.
I really don't have high hopes for the competitive scene for this game. Far as I can tell it'll just be Rosalinas turning the entire battlefield into a hitbox and Little Macs zipping by and not getting hit by anything and punishing every attempted hit with an instant uninterruptible smash attack.
Notes on Master Hand and Crazy Hand:
Master Hand:
- He keeps his Big Swipe, Fake-Out Slap (the one that looks like Power Punch but ends with him slapping the stage instead), his signature Finger Bullet, Finger Drill, and Finger Walk attacks, his Flying Punch, Jetstream (the one where he takes off like a rocket), Laser Nail, Power Punch (The one where he punches down on the tage) and his backwards throw (with squeezing).
- The Flying Slap (where he tries to crush the player with an open palm), Floor Sweep (his three-hit sweeping motion), and his poke attack (initially dual poking, upgraded to triple poking from Melee and onwards), all attacks he has had from the beginning of the series, are no longer a part of his arsenal. He has also lost the downward throw variant he's had since Melee where he threw the opponent downwards.
- He has gained new attacks: Fireball Blitz produces a fireball which he squeezes into smaller fireballs. Icy Wind makes him flap rapidly to whip up a windstorm to push you off the stage, with icy projectiles that freeze you added in for good measure. Snapper makes him snap his fingers after a delay which stuns the player if they are on the ground. He has a new throw variant which replaces his former downward throw where he puts the player on the ground, asleep. Lastly, he has a new, very dangerous attack where he tosses out orange platforms that attempt to take the player to the top blast line for an instant KO.
Crazy Hand:
- Of the variants he has of Master Hand's attacks, he keeps the Big Swipe, Finger Drill, Flying Punch, Jetstream, and Laser Nail attacks. He also keeps the Power Punch attack, but has altered it: He now hits the floor multiple times after the initial hit.
- He keeps his signature Bomb, Spider Walk, and Spasm attacks.
- He loses all other attacks, so his elemental poke attack, his Flying Slap, and his flower throws are gone.
- He too has gained new attacks. One of them has him plant lasers of darkness on the ground which hurt players if they run into them, or if they are near when they explode after a set amount of time. He has a new grab and throw where he buries the opponent into the ground, he can produce a ball of darkness that he hammers into the ground for a big explosion (kind of like a foil to Master Hand's Fireball Blitz attack), and he can also open a rift to another dimension that sucks in the player, making them suffer damage, before spitting them back out.
Master & Crazy Hand:
- Of their original teamwork attacks, they only keep the one where Master Hand catches Crazy Hand's punch. Their Applaud and Fistbump teamwork attacks are gone.
- In their stead, they have new attacks: One where Master Hand throws small electric balls at Crazy Hand who bats them towards the player's position before Crazy Hand throws a couple of big ones which Master Hand also bats towards the player's position. Another one has Crazy Hand plow across the stage first with a dark-elemental attack before Master Hand performs an uppercut (also across the stage).
These are all the differences I was able to find regarding the retooled Master and Crazy Hand.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!![]()
Which hand moves first depends on who you're closest to.

No it's not. I'm not talking 'bout the patch. I'm talking about their changes from Brawl to this game.
Incidentally, I love their retooled movesets. They are less dependent on physical hand motions so they feel more like the actual higher beings that they are.

Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Maybe the reason Master Hand lost some of his attacks is due to the probably almost lethal damage given to him by Tabuu, which my have weakened him a bit... at least until he gets serious and transforms...
In the year 202X, all is devastation... Soon, any last shred of hope had by the saintliest optimist shall die and decay. And I agree. I like how Master and Crazy Hands' move sets include more "mystical" attacks in 4.

Which attack includes Ice?
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.![]()
I've never seen the ice blocks...hmm

Also, a new update patch was released for Smash 3DS. Most players are reporting a smoother online experience after downloading, but the only other notable change was that Conquest Mode no longer tells you the participants usage percentage.
This solves the main issue I had with the mode, which was that people would just play the character/team with the highest percentage, ensuring they win the current Conquest. It probably won't matter for the current one (anyone that looked at the chart before the patch went up will know that the Fire Emblem team is ahead), unless they had reset the percentages to zero after the patch.
