Because that don't doesn't break the flow of the match or anything.
... I'm sorry, I didn't mean to be the resident "Stop Having Fun" Guy. I just really don't understand the appeal of total random chaos and am evidently bad at phrasing my arguments in non-antagonistic ways.
I sure said that!Just saw today's video. Chiming in to say that it all looks cool. I'm disappointed by Ridley not being playable, though. Maybe that was a step to having him in next game?
Also, Mewtwo! I hope you don't really have to buy two consoles and games to get him. Not that that would be too different from the Pokemon aesthetic, though...
Man, how about that Master Fortress? Getting an Impure King vibe off of it. Do you think that the Fortress will be the only form you fight if it shows? Or will it send you right to Master Giant right after?
I have a message from another time...That only works if the Hammer user is foolish enough to turn their back to you, though. You can't approach from melee range and the hammer will almost certainly cancel out any projectiles you try to use on them.
I'm wondering if it's instead an alternate finale, with Master Fortress appearing instead of Master Core after beating Master Shadow- The video showed a lot of Swarm appearing from the bottom of the screen in a swirl around Master Core itself before it became Master Fortress, and Master Core looked to be relatively defenseless within the mass of Swarm.

I sure said that!
Speaking from experience, it's perfectly viable from the front as well as the back. In fact, most character have hammer attacks that backswing, so the back isn't any more safe than the front.
Most F-Smashes will take you into melee range (or have enough range) fast enough to have "priority" before the next swing. Or have enough range for that not to matter. Others have air attacks that work, or even specials or tilts. I reliably knock people out of hammer with Kirby's B-Air.
With Hammers, typically your worst enemy isn't the Hammer itself, but the fear of getting hit - which makes one sloppy. Much like a lot of things that seem OP in fighting games <*cough*Sentinel*cough*>, it's actually far from it.

It's also not like the Hammer jingle is only there for added charm.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyCharacters with grapple grabs like Samus and Link can also easily deal with people with hammers. Projectiles help too, especially explosive ones, also Counters.
Smash Bros isn't really a game that should be taken too seriously, at least not if you're going to do things such as play with items on or choose stages like Wily Castle. It's entirely possible for both extremes to play the game in the way their want and it also gives the game more variety in regards to what you can do in it, which hardly hurts the game.
I like Wily's Castle, but I usually play only on Omega mode, just because I find the Yellow Devil to be annoying and disruptive of the fight (also, he wasn't in Mega Man 2, and I refuse to acknowledge such ignorance of facts!)
As for Classic Mode, I go wherever the red path takes me.
By the way, was anyone surprised that Nintendo flat out said "1080p? Yeah we got that." Jumping right into the console resolution battle.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI've played on Wily's Castle quite often. I find the regular version pretty enjoyable myself. I tend to work the hazards now. I only spam FD in personal multiplayer for a very specific reason; Mew and its drops via Master Balls. It's not the most effective, but I rack up Coins fast enough too.
Shadow? The Halberd isn't exactly chaotic, I mean, first of all it takes a while to even get to the Combo Cannon and it usually only gets to attack twice before the stage moves again.
I'm not particularly on "all the chaos!" group myself, hell, I might even join a tournament if I get the chance. I can see the appeal of both sides of Smash's gameplay and I throughly enjoy being able to play a serious match first, then another that's completely nuts.
I'm a very open minded and adaptive person, it seems.
Also, I play Wily's Castle pretty much whenever I feel like it just like any other stage, I don't avoid Megaman in Classic either because usually the Yellow Devil is more of a problem for him than for me

@Sterok: "I care enough to put him in, I don't care enough to make him playable."

All-Star disables all the Wario Ware mini-games too. It's intentionally made a little easier. You have a single stock, after all. Classic doesn't need to do this. It's a huge improvement over Melee/Brawl's All-Star course system. I still dislike the "set character selection", but it's fun none the less. They also seemingly weakened the A.I. enough to make going after more than 5 enemies in a match hardly beyond difficult. Brawl unfortunately could really knock you around for a loop. This game rarely does that.
Wii U version could change their A.I. patterns/difficulty, though.
