I don't get why everyone riffs on Autoreticle. I love shooting opponents while they're knocked down with it.
And, of course, pestering recovering opponents that I can't stop from making it back onstage, like I also use Chef and Trick Shot for.

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — Ultimatepheer![]()
Let's see how long you survive with that strategy.
It's true though—a person who never gets hit never needs to defend themselves and one who hits a lot is more likely to win.
This just gives me more reason to focus on keeping my damage low and keeping the hits on them.

You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stay![]()
Again, let's see how long you survive with that strategy. Every attack has a multitude of weaknesses if you just shoot blindly.

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerNo and I don't care to. I'm content to just Smash Run until I get all of those custom moves and get ready for Wii U.
While you guys are all beating each other up I'm making all of my fighters the best I want em to be. ;p
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayThe best fighter in the world won't help you if you don't know how to use them effectively, especially against human opponents.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! You absolutely don't need the customization to win. Ganondorf himself is proof of that. I easily beat Smash Run and the final battle with him. I had barely any equipment, ones that slightly improved my speed and lowered both my attack and defense. I was at a full disadvantage and still knocked 'em out of the ballpark. I didn't get KO'd a single time.
Basically, practice is all you need. Some characters of course are going to be better, but it's the person behind the controller, not the customization, not the equipment, and barely even the character that wins the game.
Shadow?I like to play SR completely randomized, myself.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerI only use effect-free equipment, and I use one of each type of boost because otherwise Min-Maxing gets to be an excess issue. Granted, I've got some pretty high-end stuff at this point- Like, +70 or +80 with only -~35 penalties- But that's my selection, not anyone else's.

I sure said that!I really wanna fight Full Moon to see how badly I get my ass handed.
Hey, curb stomps can get annoying, but some of them are just so awe-inspiring, it's almost fun in a way. I fought a purple Captain Falcon that never freaking let up, and I actually clapped a bit for the guy, since he was just so damn good.
Can we make a date for possibly next week? When I possibly have good internet?
What was the sudden spike that led to Rosy becoming metagame defining? She was among the best in the early days, but I never expected her to outdo ZSS, and find herself at the very top.

"Curry killed the pussy hoping that I could kill the hate in you" - Curry, D. "TABOO | TA13OO." TA13OO, PH, 2018I remember this one DK player I encountered in For Glory 1-on-1 who was absurdly good at landing meteor smashes. I lost, but while my second stock put in a good effort he took me out way early for my first.
To rub a little salt in, he was using the Eddy the Mean Old Yeti palette.

I sure said that!

Hehe, healing and items...I never use equipment with them—I prefer to just optimize and give the highest stats I can—but I love that the option is there.
As for custom moves, it seems like I only use one or two per non-Mii Fighter. I'm really accustomed to the basic moves...unless there's one or two that really bugs me, like Palutena's Autoreticle.
It's so weak...and Explosive Flame has a good distance to it. In her trailer I thought she said Explosive Length, which I rather thought was cooler.
By the way, Defense is for people who get hit!
