I hope its an electroncic rebirth of Nintendo Monopoly but instead you fight over properties the old fashioned way
Oh
Ganondorf and Meta Knight in Mario Party
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerPerhaps this is the new single-player mode, just with a multiplayer option? Choose a path across the board to get to the final stage, facing challenges along the way in a more sophisticated version of what Smash 3DS is doing with its classic mode, but you can also play with up to three other players, and depending on which spaces you intersect (if you even choose to do so), you have to work together or fight each other.
Well, third time's the charm. I fought Master Core with a slightly more balanced Ganon and won. My smash attacks wer so powerful I got to the sword form with very little trouble. I still lost a stock to the swords, but knowing the attack patterns of the other forms helped a lot, and the mirror match was surprisingly easy.
Neat, new modes leaked.
New Stage Builder, eh? Hope it's not just an afterthought like in Brawl.
Special Orders kinda sounds like Event Mode in everything but name to me. But then why is there an "Event Match" announcer voice clip? I wonder what distinguishes the two.
Holy crap, a board game mode! That's exactly the kinda thing I thought would be perfect for the Wii U version! So many questions! How will it work? Will it be a direct copy of Mario Party, but with battles at the end of every turn instead of minigames? Will there be more than one board, or one very detailed one like in Smash Run? Are this mode and the mysterious "Smash World" mode one and the same?
They still need to put in a "Play As Master or Crazy Hand" mode like Ultimate Mv C 3 did with Galactus.
Are explosions science?Doesn't that break shields? Arceus knows nothing else in the game does.
Would someone mind giving me a list of character unlock conditions without mentioning the characters they go with? You can skip Wario, Lucina, Dark Pit, Dr. Mario, ROB, Mr. Game and Watch, and Duck Hunt cause I have them already. I just want to unlock everyone so I can read this thread without fear. (I tend to reflexively highlight spoilers.)
- Clear Classic Mode once
- Clear Classic Mode without continues
- Clear Classic on 5.0 or higher as Zelda or Link
- Clear Classic as 6.0 or higher as Bowser
- Collect 30 different pieces of Equipment
Gee, I wonder who the "clear Classic as Link or Zelda" one is?
(That was how we unlocked him back in Brawl, or something, right?)
Anyway, neat rumor thing. I really want to see what features the Wii U version has to offer. So far we know nothing it has over the 3DS version besides trophy posing and a larger music library.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!Holy moly guys roll cancel grabbing and dash attack cancel grabbing is super crazy good in this game.
It pretty much multiplies some character's grab range by a crazy amount, especially Wii Fit Trainer.
Apparently it also really helps Lil' Mac's grab as well, gotta try that.

DeerA Roll Cancel Grab in this is is when you input a standard attack at the start of your dodge roll. This input will buffer with the shield button that you pressed, causing your character to grab almost immediately from their roll without turning around.
You know you did it right when your character flashes right before the grab. You lose all the invincibility frames from rolling but it helps some characters with abysmal grab range (My Wii Fit Trainer ;w;) actually grab things.
DeerIt's something to practice, really.
Once you get the timing down you should get it around 90% of the time.
I mean, if the character you're playing as already has a good grab, you don't really need this tactic 24/7. Just if your grab is stupid small like some of my characters. ;w;

DeerThat sounds like some Capcom vs. SNK 2: Mark Of The Millennium BS right there. I like it.

I'd say more like the 'There was only so much we could do with the hardware but we tried' version.
