Someone mention Mii Fighters? B Ecuase I got a Mii Fighter of Scott, President of Dominos Pizza.
Are explosions science?I'm finally watching that Open Tournament, and while it was fun at times, I have to say I'm with the people who have little hope for the competitive future of this game unless they patch it. Watching Yoshi vs. Rosaluma was almost as frustrating as being in the situation myself. Zoning is everything in this game and defensive options are too powerful. The likes of Rosaluma are gonna dominate and the game's gonna turn into nothing but camping.
I mean, like, please prove me wrong by all means, but I have yet to hear any counter-arguments.
It's a damn shame, really. The only game that has people to play against, and the only one that pays at least some attention to character balance, is the one that I'll get ridiculed for playing because Sakurai's making the same mistakes as he did with Brawl.
What a hypocrite.

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerSakurai recently hinted in Famitsu that a Smash U announcement, possibly a Direct, is coming soon.
So get hyped for the announcement telling you to get hyped.

4, of course.

Omega Stages are at least a step in the right direction. But until knockback is nerfed and blast zones are reduced, 4 looks like it's dead within the first year.
Sakurai, who recently came out and said that a focus on overly defensive play is "not interesting or fun", but look where we are now.

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerI hope Master Side and Crazy Side are Master Orders and Crazy Orders in the US version. Because that would probably mean good things for the other hidden voice clips, like Smash World and Boss Battles.
Edit:
And here's me, still trying to figure out how to use a projectile-heavy character without getting punched in the face whenever I wind up to shoot something.

I have a message from another time...thats not really hypocrisy. someone does not suddenly become a hypocrite because they failed to do something they at least tried to do. thats just called failure.
if he had intentionally made it that way then maybe, but i dont really see anything to suggest he intentionally made it a heavily defensive game.
It's still way to early to tell anything about the meta game. Defensive play may be powerful now but give it until at least the Wii U version is out before making any major calls. The meta game can change in the blink of an eye.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!
Lasting at over 200% is the norm, and vectoring makes combos now nonexistent against anyone moderately skilled.
Gee people, the game has only been out for less than two weeks, give the meta some time and things may change. I never felt like the game was very defensive, hell, a lot of time I've been mercilessly beaten down by people online. It take a while to KO, yes, but it's not ridiculously long, I've KO'd people at 92% with Greninja before and he doesn't have the highest knockback on his moves.
Right. This game just seems to have a different kind of meta than the earlier ones and I feel we need to wait longer to see what exactly it turns into. It hasn't even been a month yet... And people seem to be making snap judgments due to Brawl being considered a disappointment (meta-wise) and Sakurai's statements that he was attempting to appeal a little to that demographic with 4.

Yeah, I am really hoping we collectively turn out to be oh so wrong.
I don't want to have to go back to P:M and P:M only. It already feels heavily outdated, in no small part thanks to online play being shut down. And I can't get Wiimmfi to work.
But at the same time, I have to remain cynical. No use spending time getting good at something that there's a sizeable chance I'll be ridiculed for in the future.

Still hoping for DLC characters.
I feel like the Wii U could handle so many more characters. The least they could do is bring back Ice Climbers!
I don't like this lack of information either with the release date fast approaching. It's almost feeling like this Smash game won't take full advantage of the Wii U's potential because Sakurai worked on two games.
Although I thought the same of the 3DS when there was lack of information, only to realize there's tons of secrets and the end product is quite satisfying.
Although Sakurai could always just delay some more if he felt the end product wasn't good enough. Lord knows how much he delayed Brawl.
Even with these awkward wings, dyed with images that seem to stay. I'm sure we can fly, on my love! 3DS Friend Code: 2809-9138-8756
