He wasn't put on the actual site and still isn't, so he's not officially revealed in any way. That's pretty much what we have to wait for.
Since all hidden characters are behind a spoiler wall, we should wait till they show up in the Pic of the Day in a gameplay-related situation or are directly namedropped and blatantly implied to be playable like Ganondorf definitely was. Ness was shown off in another one during the Magicant reveal. Name-dropping him would've been nice, but most know who he is except far newer players, so it's not the most severe of spoilers.
Shadow? For the record, the only secret characters that don't need to be spoiler tagged are Ness and Ganondorf. Being on the main site isn't enough to not spoiler tag the others, since they're behind a Caution Wall. Sakurai will be steadily revealing the characters over time through Miiverse, so eventually this won't need to be done anymore.
It's also part of the reason why I was trying to redirect people posting about their 3DS exploits to the other thread before release, mostly to avoid accidental non-tagging here, but that's already occurred several times in this thread. :/

Supposedly, aside from using Falcon as the base model to swap with, Sakurai also seems to have based Ganondorf somewhat on his father, who (I assume) had passed away around the time Melee was being made (or during the development of Brawl, since that's the game where Ganondorf had more unique animations while still functioning off of Falcon's moveset and base model).
The original post is from 4chan, so take it with a grain of salt.
EDIT: Didn't mean to doublepost. Anyways, I forgot to mention that the 4chan post cites an upcoming Famitsu article as the source, so we'll find out if it's true soon. I personally believe it to be false.

At first I thought "aww", but then I realized; "wait. If this is true, he looked at Ganondorf and thought, 'yeah, that's my dad'".

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerGanondorf does seem better in this game at least plus he finally gets to use his fucking sword. Coulda been worse, he could have ended up like 2.0 Terumi

Are explosions science? That remix is also the bonus music for Final Destination.
Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!I don't remember if it was this thread or the Spoiler thread, but one of them had someone suggest a newest-to-oldest order for All Star Wii U with G&W being the boss. I just wanted to set the record straight that it would actually be Pac-Man as the boss if they go by hard numbers on the character debut formula.

Have you tried using Donkey Kong? Spamming Down-B seems to be just as effective in this game as it was in the past (although this was in Endless Smash I tested it in, not 100-Man. May or may not be different).

In the year 202X, all is devastation... Soon, any last shred of hope had by the saintliest optimist shall die and decay. It's fine. Just letting you know. I should've said what I did a bit better too.
As for my order?
I'm unsure with Smash 3DS. I can't tell if it's between Melee and Brawl or between 64 and Melee. 64 > Melee > Brawl is my current opinion. I mean, they're all really freakin' fun to play regardless, but eh.

Shadow?I'm counting fan projects as well.
1&2&3. 3DS = Super Smash Flash 2 = Project M; The current three games, all with the right speed and careful, loving attention to complete balance.
4.Melee ; There's a reason it's still around.
5. 64 ; This is pretty much the neutral one.
6 & 7. Brawl ; I think they screwed up big-time here. But that's just me. = Brawl Minus ; The novelty wears off very fast in my opinion.
8. Super Smash Bros. Crusade ; It's getting there, but it's still extremely sloppy right now.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — Ultimatepheer4 > Everything prior. Never played Melee and never had extensive time with 64, and most of the issues I had with Brawl are fixed in 4.

Ganondorf was name-dropped as playable already. Ness was shown in direct gameplay on the Pic of the Day. They are pretty much not spoilers anymore.
...Unless the fact they're "hidden" counts as a spoiler regardless? Yes, I do realize the irony of spoilering this. Maybe this is one to ask a Mod on how we should go about this? Cause I gotta admit, it's a loophole in a way. Lucina is blatantly well known and not hidden on the site as well. Some are hidden on the site, but also shown in the Pic of the Day.
IMO, if they're shown in the Pic of the Day, they're no longer a spoiler. I do not know if it counts properly for the spoiler policy or if people here consider it good enough.
