Even with the skewed Gender ratio in favor of Males for French Frog McNinja there, there's no way of knowing.
Yoshi is the Yoshi in the Mario series, and he's male.
Greninja is a mystery, though.
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."Aren't yoshies genderless? At least, according to Japanese Melee?

I think this review should clear up any questions.
Also don't forget Lucario is blue AND male! And so is alternate costume Mario, and Pit, and Link!
There's never really been any conclusive statement one way or another. Yoshi's sometimes defaulted to "he" in blurbs for sports games and the like, but those eggs, yo.
Plus, I mean, it'd be nice if the usually-active Mario cast wasn't a total sausage-fest.
And yeah, theoretically, Greninja, Charizard and Lucario could be either gender, though they're all of 7/8 male species- Though i wish they'd given half of Pikachu's costumes the notched tail.
Also, I vaguely recall Sakurai at some point claiming Kirby might be female, too.

I sure said that!Kirby? Female?
I think he has explicitly been refered to as a male multiple times.
"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."Well, having played a few With Friends matches, I think I don't like this game's Final Destination music all that much. At least not the default one. The alternate track (another, more epic sounding remix of Melee's Menu music, which also plays in Smash Run's "Run" battle) is much better in my opinion.
If Kirby is female, my whole life is a lie.

"I like girls, but now, it's about justice."

Man, ZSS is one of those characters I just entirely ignored until I finally tried her out in Training Mode yesterday, and then I just kinda did a terrible combo against my helpless opponent straight off the stage that they couldn't recover from, without even thinking about it.
This metagame's gonna be all about the ladies in blue, it seems.
