Actually, Hitomi is around high-mid tier with Ayane at the top of the list. (God bless Ein players ;w;)

Sooo, what about that rad new Game & Wario stage?

Meanwhile I'm baffled by how much so many people insist on being baffled by that.

It's a cool game. Nerds analyze cool things. People as a whole and nerds in particular try to excel at things they think are cool. And that's cool. Just be cool, accept it as cool, and move on.

Faw gets it. It really is just a portion of gamers (which can happen with any game) doing what they love.

[up]It's the only Smash For stage that's made me excited so far. Well, there's another, but I can't mention it here.

I think that stage has high chances of being my absolute favorite stage depending on how it works.

The minigame it's based off of genuinely scared me the first time I played through it and the stage mechanic is rad.

Hopefully, she won't run up to the stage and stare at it from the side like she does in the minigame.

[up]x5 The layout of the stage doesn't seem like it'd lend well to her running up to the side like she does in the original mini-game, especially since in the Smash incarnation, she just needs to see someone to get pissed off, as opposed to seeing them not moving or sleeping. Unless the stage layout changes throughout the match so that her view can be blocked from the side, I doubt she'd take that position.

[up] x4 She is pretty much FNAF in mom's form. Instead of doors you sleep.

True is that, if the stage layout changes, however, I think that'd be a huge spoiler that Mom's gonna run up the side. All this stage needs is one good vertical wall somewhere near the center.

I do hope this stage tries to fake you out like the game itself.

Well, it's not Kitchen Island or the Golden Pyramid, and I've never played Game & Wario, but it does seem like a cool idea for a stage anyway.

There's a Game & Wario stage?

Maybe you guys talked about this and I skipped it, but what sort of moveset would a playable Dark Samus have?

There's a Wii U stage based on Gamer, 9-Volt's minigame from Game & Wario. You have to hide from 5-Volt, 9-Volt's mother, when she checks in on the room, or she'll be enraged and "blow you away", as Sakurai's post phrased it.

As for Dark Samus, she'd be pretty far on the Beam Spam side of the equation.

I sure said that!

@Mr Sunshine Sprinkles Yes, perhaps the best three soundtracks ever. And this even includes the tracks that weren't altered at all (like almost every single Sonic track in Brawl...hoping that 3DS/Wii-U will have more than one Sonic remix).

On a related note: Will the Wii-U version have a bigger soundtrack than 3DS (and possibly Brawl).

The 3DS soundtrack only has two songs per stage (plus a handful of Smash Run-exclusive songs, I guess?) while the Wii U version has the My Music feature returning, so it'll definitely have a bigger soundtrack than the 3DS. Who knows if it'll be bigger than Brawl's...then again, maybe they'll bring back most of Brawl's soundtrack.

I'm guessing all of the arranged sourced music will come back in Smash 4 from Brawl, along with the versions of the main theme from Battlefield, Final Destination, and maybe the menus.

The 3DS soundtrack is actually fairly robust, as a note, but a lot of the tracks can only be played on Smash Run.

I sure said that!

It was working a while ago, but the site seems to be having issues now. For when it's back up, it's the Dark Samus WIP PSA on the first page of the "attacks and animations" subforum on KC-MM / Brawlvault.

So, while I was driving to work today, an idea occurred to me that, during Classic mode, each player should get a theme of their own for when they're travelling along the path between matches; perhaps snippets from redone map themes or leitmotifs from their original/signature games. I'm currently compiling a list, but haven't played all of the series, and so wouldn't know about the music for some of them. Here's a few examples of what I've considered so far:

-Mario: the first map theme from SMB 3, or the second map theme from SMW
-Luigi: Luigi's Mansion outside theme
-Peach: Peach's Castle theme from SM64
-Yoshi: Yoshi's Island map theme (though any variation of it would work)
-Zelda: Hyrule Castle theme
-Donkey Kong: 'Simian Segue' from DKC 1
-Diddy Kong: 'Welcome to Crocodile Isle'' from DKC 2
-Pikachu/Charizard/Jigglypuff: Route 1 theme from Red/Blue. Alternatively, divide that and the Route 4 and Route 11 themes between them.
-Ness: Onett town theme

I know it's only a small thing, but I think it could've been a nice touch. Any tracks you guys reckon would fit for other characters as 'walking' themes?
