I find it ironic how Metal Blade, one of the most Game Breaking weapons in Mega Man's series, is considered one of his worst moves in Smash.
As for Elec Man, his entry on the Assist Trophies character page says he was the very first Robot Master Capcom ever made.

Flame Sword is mainly used for approaching the enemy. The hitbox makes it easy to flank grounded opponents with and seems to have armor against projectiles, or at least destroys things like Gyroid.
Slash Claw is basically Megaman's kill move if you don't want to risk jumping off the stage for a meteor smash. It has a slightly higher hitbox, so it whiffs over most standing opponents, but if you hit it's sweet spot at the very tip of the move on an opponent that's trying to recover with high damage, it's a kill.
Metal Blade is pretty much a zoning tool you can choose to throw in multiple directions. It's nothing special, but it pierces through multiple enemies and can create good pressure for approaching enemies. Also, the fact that you can throw it in any direction means that you can cover your blind spots easier than other characters.
Also, apparently during MM's down taunt, there's a period where he can't be hit. Which is kinda cool for stylish dodges.
(Lol I mistook Metal Blade for Slash Claw sorry I'm not a huge Megaman fan. But he's got me hype now.)

DeerSo thanks to a gracious stranger on the way home, I was finally able to play the 3DS Demo.
Mario and Pikachu tho. However, if there's one thing that concerns me about the 3DS version, it's definitely the controls. The controls felt so alien to me that I actually SD'd a couple of times while attacking. Other than that, I'm more than satisfied with how the 3DS version looks and plays (still looking forward to the Wii U version tho.)
Vote. .#Bayonetta 4 SmashMetal Blade's decent as an occasional damage deling thing, but it sure ain't no MM 2-incarnation Metal Blade, in terms of raw power.
I have a message from another time...Taking Enlong's list from earlier and adding the rest of the custom moves:
MM1: Super Arm
MM2: Air Shooter, Leaf Shield, Metal Blade, Crash Bomber
MM3: Top Spin, Hard Knuckle, Spark Shock
MM6: Flame Blast
MM7: Slash Claw
MM8: Flame Sword
MM9: Black Hole Bomb
MM1: Hyper Bomb, Ice Slasher
MM3: Shadow Blade
MM4: Skull Barrier
MM6: Plant Barrier
MM7: Danger Wrap
MM8: Tornado Hold
Sorry, got my threads crossed a bit. I'll spoiler the extras.

Errr, anyway, I am glad that you think so. A lot of people seem to think that Megaman is terrible, but maybe it's just that he doesn't fit most people's playstyle.
Okay, now I have to ask. Is there anyone here who can't do short-hops in this game? My impression's been that it's one of the hardest techniques to pull off, but I get the feeling it's easier in this game. I need my bragging rights, dude! What am I gonna do without my bragging rights!
Here.
The top one is set to 60 fps and the bottom one can easily be changed to 30 fps.
I'm not sure they should have left Ghirahim and Dark Samus in the 3DS version - most other Assist Trophies are either small enough or move erratically enough for the 30FPS to not make a difference, but both of them are the right combination of slow and player-sized to look really distracting. I've actually SD-ed a few times because my eyes were inextricably drawn to their choppy animation.

Kyurem and Abomasnow have some of that going on, too.
Oddly, Samurai Goroh really doesn't, since his animations were on the choppy side to begin with.
Also knowing as a Small Jump, it's done by jumping very low so as to use aerial attacks on grounded opponents. It's possible to do via tap jump but is much easier with the jump buttons.

I sure said that!![]()
It is a jump that has about half the height of a regular jump. It's instrumental to even mid level play.
@Zelenal: I could never tell the difference in FPS even after being subject to the placebo effect due to these sites listing which is which. It would be far better, certainly more fair, if these sites just showed two videos and asked the visitor which is which. But those websites never do that.
"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"

Well, sure, but Classic is what's in, and it's, frankly, almost a different series from the rest, with how cartoony and relatively lighthearted everything is as compared to the gradually-bleaker X series and Zero being straight-up After the End.
I sure said that!
