@Baffle: You thought Ness was more memorable than Lucas? ...To each their own, I should have known. I just don't think Ness had much of a personality compared to Lucas. It's like when I'm reading Asterix, I'm not much interested in what the blandly heroic title character is doing, but more what Obelix, an interesting character, has gotten into. Even though Lucas and Obelix are very different.
EDITTED, because I'm an idiot.

"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"Zarek: No, they aren't.
One of the things that held SSE back for me was the lack of dialogue. If they ever do make an RP Gish game I hope they fix that.

I love that Wario was in it For the Evulz and Mr. G&W had Blue-and-Orange Morality.
"We're home, Chewie."Lucas goes through Charac. Development...Ness doesn't. It was basically what happened in his game, while Ness does stuff normally like he does in His game. Whichever one is interesting is a "So there" moment. The Enemies are designed originally, but some of them are still based off of enemies from the other franchises.

And Peach basically treated G/W like a puppy. I loved that part.

Yeah basically...and the Ticken enemy...because Sonic too.
@Blueblur I'm pretty sure they could make that story mode and keep everything neutral, I mean, Subspace Emissary was LONG!
And who cares about people complaining?!
Exactly, so why does it matter? Because people complaining about things isn't a good excuse for not including something.

Even with these awkward wings, dyed with images that seem to stay. I'm sure we can fly, on my love! 3DS Friend Code: 2809-9138-8756Technically it does make story-sense for there not to be many (or more than one, to be more specific) SSE levels from other games, since it takes place in a separate trophy-world from the other Nintendo worlds.
But then that's boring and dumb sooo...
EDIT:
It was, actually.
EDIT 2: Oh, wait, wasn't that abandoned theme park from Mother? That'd be another one, then.

"We're home, Chewie."I loved the Subspace Emissary. It gave depth and character to all of those Nintendo trophies whose only purpose for coming alive was to beat each other up.
As for the levels themselves, I liked them too. Generic, but that made the world feel very...basic. Like "this is the world and we live and fight in it".
Subpsace itself may have been your typical outworldly dimension, but I liked it too...
It had that familiar color scheme that I personally dub "Extradimensional Purple".
I think I'm finally going to watch There Will Be Brawl for the first time throughout the next week to officially bid Brawl goodbye.

I sure said that!

Wario was way more threatening than usual, though. Similarly, Ness was probably the most selfless character, which made him stand out anyway, and Dedede was basically the hero.
