After spending the past few hours transferring data to a new SD card, I'm ready to download the Smash demo.
...after I redownload every game I had removed off the original cardnote and download updates for Ambassador games I own. Frankly, if the demo didn't have Mega Man in it, I wouldn't bother with it.
...and now its finally Randomness' turn to download the Smash Demo, yeah!

Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!I have a strong feeling that Villager will be my nemesis in the 3DS and Wii U versions.
"I am like you. I have no name."![]()
So they are. Dammit. Fixed.
I will forever love this comic.
I will continue to reccomend this to everyone getting the 3DS version; get a controller grip like the Mario Kart 7 Racing Wheel or the Monster Hunter Hunting Gear. The console by itself is not suited to comfortably play a fighting game.

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerYeah, that's the main thing right now that's making me consider not actually buying the 3DS version. The fact aside that I somehow find it a lot more intuitive to grab with R and shield with L, I have no idea how to hold this thing in a way that will let me use the shield at all without having to completely readjust myself every time... Also, the screen really is tiny.
So what are these controller grip things? Do they really make this thing manageable?
Man, it's so good having more space on my 3DS again.
So I played the demo for a while. It's fun, and only happens to have just enough in it to keep me interested for the next couple of weeks. I mostly played Mega Man, then tried everyone else (except Mario) for a few matches while the CPU (Mario) was set to 1 so I could practice and get a feel of the game.
Thoughts:
- I was honestly expecting Mega Man to play worse than he does, but I'm enjoying very much. I guess having a heads up on how he plays has a factor in that, but I think it's due more to the fact that I'm playing him like he's still in one of his own games rather than as a Smash character.
- The menu music is godly.
- Controls are weird. I really need the Grab and Shield inputs reversed on the shoulder buttons.
- My first Assist trophy (as Mega Man) was Elec Man. How appropriate. When I tried the Villager, the first Assist I got was Isabelle. It was adorable.
- I'm disappointed that Mega Man's victory theme is just an arranged snippet of his Mega Man 2 theme.
The Mega Man 3 title theme is so much betterHe has his own semi-recurring Victory theme that they could've used. Oh well. - Dammit Palutena! Stop taunting me!
- Villager is really amusing. And I'm probably going to have a lot of fun with Pocket once I get used to it. Haven't hit with her Final Smash though.
- So the Daybreak is basically an instant Zero Laser for everybody. Cool. I find it a lot easier to hit with here than in Kid Icarus Uprising at least.
- The menu music is godly.
- The Beetle thing from Skyward Sword is hilarious when it succeeds. I can't see it working too well in regular play though.
- It seems that Pikachu's Volteccer now shoots out sparks, which helps in making him connect with his Final Smash. Or at least, I think that's what's happening; I only used his FS once.
I'll probably practice with Mega Man some more, but I can't wait for the full game. I doubt I'll use up all 30 uses for the demo though.
Now that Randomness has finally experienced the Demo, I can finally say stuff.
Stuff like I have 2 Wins and 3 Losses...due to Sudden Death.
Mario feels slightly stronger, not much else to say really. He was the 1st Loser. Vs. Link.
I like Link's new Dash Attack, its a lot nicer to use that the old one. He also doesn't seem as heavy or as slow like before and his D-air can now be used as a meteor smash...1st few frames of attack. He was 1st Winner. Vs. Pikachu.
Pikachu...feels basically the same. His attacks are notice-ably faster, which threw me off a bit. He was 2nd Winner. Vs. Mega Man.
Can I say that Mega Man didn't really feel un-natural to use at all to me? Besides the Air attacks, he didn't take much time to get use to. 2nd Loser he was vs. Villager.
Villager...kind of threw me out of it for a bit at the beggining. He's an odd case, but he has 2 recovery type moves so that was nice. He was obviously the 3rd loser...vs. Mario.
All matches played on "Omega" version stage so the skill usage could be told legit. All matches played against Lvl. 8 Cpu players, because why not?

I'll just leave a link to someone else's rant rather than going on my own.

Vote. .#Bayonetta 4 Smash

I just chopped at both sides of a tree and got a little lump of throwable wood after the tree fell. Does this specifically happen in this scenario, or is this something that happens at random?
