Super Smash Bros, more like Spoiler Smash Bros, right!
... Anyway, vectoring. Vector Influence? I read the first and last page of that thread and I'm actually surprised by how level-headed people seemed in them. It does seem to make the game more intuitive, so that's nice. And if all goes well, it won't really wreck the game for the pros? Hitstun stays the same, you just have to really aggressively pursue your opponent and constantly be on your toes to predict where they're gonna go to escape you. As far as I understand it.

To be fair, these two that put out spoilers seem new to this thread. They probably didn't realize this wiki's spoiler policy, or that we are using the leak thread as the spoiler thread (which I still feel needs to be renamed to be more specific, but that won't stop instances like this).

It might seem that way, but people were arguing (and still are to an extent) all night about what it'll mean for Smash 4's meta. Some people say it'll kill combos and make the meta more defensive and Brawl-like while others think it's makes the game more intuitive. I myself think it's too early to tell (seeing as though it is just 4 days old), but I do not think it'll kill combos or make it more defensive (because the hitstun remains the same regardless of where you vector and it only seems to affect the high percents).

Vote. .#Bayonetta 4 SmashFrom what I heard it's not that effective at low perecent, which is the only time where combos were really possible. The window to be able to perform them will likely shrink though.
It's funny that the thing many people likely did to stave off death in the old games actually works as they expect as oppose to the original DI. It's nice from a game design perspective, though perhaps not from a competitive/ e-sports perspective.
You've just ruined the biggest plot hole of that story.

Nope. Believe me, I was surprised too when I found out.
Apparently before, you could effect the angle that you were launched at by moving the control stick (and the c-stick) left or right, going up or down did nothing.
This picture illistrates how it once worked and how it works now.
◊ Hopefully that clears things up a bit.

Interestingly, this means that's there's 9 choices to go to in receiving knockback, while this makes predicting knockback for combos much harder in the early days of Smash 4, but eventually people will find out the best direction to hold in any situation.
If anything, this will probably help the metagame more than hurt the metagame.
DeerYeah, sorry, I am new to this thread. I didn't think we were keeping the characters secret, me having seen the character leak and watching live streams with all the characters. Me and my friends weren't secretive about it either. I will keep that to the leak thread, I apologize.
And I'm kinda confused about this feature. As I read it, it'll just take higher percentages than usual to K O other players. So is this to make it more challenging or easier for newbies?
So, what does he mean by d throws being positional? And what's this about breaking combos, I thought you could just survive knockbacks more easily?
Even with these awkward wings, dyed with images that seem to stay. I'm sure we can fly, on my love! 3DS Friend Code: 2809-9138-8756No, I don't think that's the case. If they're reported about doing with an intention troll/cause trouble, they can be.
There is a problem with mentioning hacks(like Project M), though. But that's not considered legal on Miiverse, and illegal activities are often met with harsh fashions on places.
Shadow?Oh what? I didn't know posting about Project M was illegal, good thing I never posted about it then.
And I wouldn't listen to stuff like that on Miiverse. Most Miiverse users are young children who usually don't know what they're talking about, and of course trolls.
Plus, the Smash Bros. Miiverse page is pretty much the same as Youtube's where people usually just post whatever they want.

And I don't think Nintendo bans people like that. I posted about Blitzball a while ago on the Youtube page and nothing happened.
Long story short, Project M was designed by directly hacking the Wii in a way Nintendo's specific policies do not allow.
They are well aware of Project M and don't actually care(much, anyway). However, due to their policies, they can't really talk about it at all. Because it breaks them. That's why they don't personally go after people who use it. They have only shown one time caring, and that's creating updates that were able to remove hacks as is. I forget if they stopped trying to remove it, but as of now, we have ways of putting it on that it works a different way in the coding so it can't be removed, or it's really really hard to. I think by then they shrugged. Also, if it's not online, they have little reason to care because nobody is getting screwed over online. One of the people they invited to the Smash Bros. Invitational was a Project M player. They specifically refused to list her accomplishments towards it. This more or less proved they weren't that against it in the end.
That's about a good of a summary I can give without going into extreme details.
Shadow?Yeah, Nintendo's stance on Project M is pretty much "we respect it and will keep our hands off of it, but legally we're not allowed to acknowledge it as anything". I think they said as much to one of the people at one of the conventions they attended. They attended EVO and that had Project M as one of the side games, so I kinda doubt they'll do anything about it and just let them do their thing as long as it doesn't get too out of hand.

To the people asking why we need two threads: See? We can't even make sure people keep their freaking spoilers in the spoiler thread.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."
