bit of a difference between a martial art and a game-technique tho.

i mean, dont martial arts usually have a respect for tradition and history?

[up][up]Well, yeah, but you don't call a punch or a kick something else just because it's in a video game, y'know?

well less smash bros, more the players, who are the ones not using ukemi.

because they already have their own word, and technically by using it they are respecting tradition of gamers who play fighting games.

[up] well its not like they're just grabbing it out of thin air. tech was the phrase used in a situation not too dissimilar to ukemi, and they've latched onto it. it makes about as much sense as latching onto an untranslated word because its used elsewhere.

^^ Neither the words punch nor kick are terms specific to any one jargon, but general words.

We don't call grabs in fighting games "clinches" either (just as an example, a boxing term). Jargon is relative: community by community, sometimes even word by word.

A Xenoblade meme. One of the characters is called Reyn and shouts "Now it's Reyn time!" as a battle quote a lot.

Sakurai has said in the past that he would not be issuing rebalancing patches. The only patches would be for bugs and such.

I would definitely file an infinite under "bug" though.

Exploits such as infinite combos may constitute bugs, mind you.

Is it okay if I add Zero Suit Samus's infinite combo onto the Game-Breaker page? Because I already did it.

If something shows up in the game that wasn't supposed to be there (I assume infinites would fall under that), it's a bug. I'm pretty sure they'll release patches to fix bugs.

[up]I think it's a bit too early to call out any Game Breakers.

I'm getting conflicting sources about the Peach bug that autobans players from For Glory.

Some sources say that it's the banning that's the bug.

Other sources say that Peach being able to use the turnips in FG at all is the bug.

I sure hope it's the former.

[up]Because turnips are technically items, according to that source.

I'm pretty sure they modulated Peach's turnips this time, though. Like, there's a variance, but it's a much smaller one than in Melee or Brawl, right? And she can't pull up Beam Swords or Bob-Ombs either, right?

Peach's Down B can generate regular Items.

However, we don't know why it directly causes that. Because of the fact she can get regular items, the game might count it as one by a simple programming oversight.

Or the Turnips were always counted as regular Items. We don't know yet. It's a specific error with that move, though. It's probably related to the "random item" nature, but I don't think he outright specified what the bug was anyway. He might not know it when he said he'll fix it at the time of posting "I will fix the bug".

It's not like there isn't precedence: after all, the randomness of Dedede's Side B was removed outright by making it so he could only throw Gordos. Peach's Turnips shouldn't be that much harder to handle, right?
