Well, aside from the loss of Coin Launcher. Ah, well.

I sure said that!

'Ridley Versus' is a new special mode exclusive to the Wii U version. It differs from a regular match in that a sprite of Ridley is constantly superimposed on the screen.

The difficulty slider in Classic is likely a more orderly way to pick up trophies.

Say, have they ever talk about anything regarding Streetpass? Sort of forgot if they had.

From what I understand there is going to be a launch event stream.

[up][up]We know there's a mode involving Streetpass, but we don't know what it is.

I think the Tin Pin-esque mode was confirmed to have something to do with Streetpass functionality.

I love menus. I imagine myself sitting at a restaurant looking at a big Super Smash Bros. menu deciding how I want to fight.

The launch stream event just got announced for America too! It'll be at the Treehouse on Nintendo's Twitch.

So now that we got a look at what the starting roster will be (I have a feeling that we won't get anymore reveals, at least before the Japanese release), who do you folks think you'll try out first? Your mains? The newcomers?

I'm sort of overwhelmed by all the choices we'll get starting out, but I'll probably start with Palutena, since I'm growing to like her more since playing Kid Icarus Uprising lately. I'm also interested in trying Rosalina, Wii Fit Trainer, and Little Mac, as well as seeing how Samus, Peach, and Bowser measure up to their Brawl selves.

I'm still mildly upset that the Pokemon Trainer is gone. Since Charizard, while powerful, was my least favorite Mon of his team to play as, I don't know if I'll be trying out Greninja instead or not. Oddly, none of the Pokemon fighters really appeal to me as much as the other characters in Smash so far since the Pokemon Trainer was cut, despite how much I love Pokemon. sad

Lastly, Shulk and Robin look really neat to me, despite never playing nor having any interest in their respective games before. Hopefully it won't take me long to learn their playstyles, although I'll probably stick with Rosalina or Shulk, depending on which one's mechanics I can get the hang of first (they both seem like they'll be Difficult, but Awesome characters).

I'll be playing everyone as is, but those are the characters that interest me the most right now.

With 64 I started with Fox because I had been playing Star Fox 64 a lot.

With Melee and Brawl I think I started with Mario because I had gotten very "start it normally" by then.

For For, I think I'll do Mario again and see if I can try out those custom moves at the beginning. I want to make F.L.U.D.D. useful to me again...

Depends on what mode I do first. I'm most interested in Rosalina, but she seems to be one of the harder characters to learn, seeing as how me playing as Rosalina at the Best Buy demo event ended in disaster (not one KO). If I'm able to play multiplayer with my brother first, I'll play as Mega Man. If not, I'll play Classic Mode with Rosalina on a relatively low intensity setting to get a feel for her playstyle. After that, Pac-Man, Little Mac and Palutena are also characters I want to try.

I'll likely start off by doing a run through Classic Mode with Link for tradition's sake, but after that I'm most interested in trying Little Mac, Robin and Palutena out of the newcomers. All three have really unique playstyles, and the impressions I've heard so far only make me more interested to try them out. Shame about Robin only having one hairstyle per gender, though.

Samus, F!Robin and (when I unlock her)Lucina or Marth depending on how good I get at hitting with the sword at the right distance.

I really wanna try Little Mac. He just seems so fun to play.

Also Robin because I adored Awakening and their playstyle seems very interesting.

I'll start off with Pikachu in a standard vs. match. It's tradition, and it's always been my main. Then I'll probably go for Robin, my most wanted that actually got in.

I tried Rosie at the Smashfest and had fun with her. I think I'm gonna use her and Marth when I get the game mainly. Rosalina's a lot less complicated than certain other puppet characters I've fooled around with in the past.
