That sounds kind of...eh. I always liked playing All Star Mode AFTER I had gotten all the characters. Meant I really only needed to play it once with each character.

Because on certain difficulties, it was hard to finish with no continues and only three heart containers.

^^^To be fair, it DOES confirm that even if leaked game had unlocked characters with debug mode and thats why mode still had lock in it, he could have still played all star mode since its there to show that not everyone is unlocked.

Sooo yeah, I don't really see reason to not assume that there are one or two characters we don't know for sure yet

Now, you can't bring up the Japanese name for Villager without bringing up his best translation, that being his Dutch name Dorpsbewoner.

Other great translated names include Quajutsu and Glurak (Greninja and Charizard in German), Amphinobi, Dracafeu and Roi Dadidou (Greninja, Charizard and Dedede in French), Harmonie and Samus Sans Armure (Rosalina and Zero Suit in France!French) Sfavillotto (Luma in Italian) and all of the names in Russian from how they use those awesome looking letters in the Russian Alphabet.

How was I supposed to know, the page was in that language (and also I didn't look in Google longer than it took me to find that it was the Russian flag). tongue

Anyway, since he isn't with the others from circa '91-'93, looks like Wario just got confirmed under-the-table to be secret, assuming he's back.

So, I've been playing Punch Out Wii again recently, and damn I want a Von Kaiser assist trophy.

He's not the most iconic or memorable character in the game, but there's something endearing about having a psychotic boxer flail around the stage shouting random phrases in German.

"ICH: DEUTSCHE PRÄZISION! DU: WINDMÜHLE!"

"KAMPFSTIEFEL!"

"ATTAAACKE!"

Seriously, though - I can't wait to see who might be the Punch Out assist is (if there is one this time). Bald Bull's probably pretty likely, and could kinda replace what Mac was doing in Brawl (though there aren't too many characters who could fill the exact niche Mac did in Brawl - Piston Hurricane/Hondo maybe (also unlikely), or Doc Louis himself).

It'd also be hilarious if it were Glass Joe, to give us another Starfy - or better yet another Sandbag. If you hit him in the face at just the right time, he drops a sticker!

That picture with the three rows of fighters seems to have room left over for maybe 2 rows more.

[up][up]Von Kaiser or any of the boxers would be awesome, but if they don't make Doc Louis an assist, nothing matters anymore.

He invented the star punch!!!

So it's in chronological order, meaning either Miis or Greninja are the final boss in the mode.

Well, this is interesting.

Long story short, some people who had hands-on time with the game noticed a new mechanic in the latest build. Basically, after an aerial attack you can cancel the landing lag into pretty much anything, attacks, shield, or dashing. In other words, l-canceling with way less execution. If this is true, the aggressiveness of this game may have just skyrocketed.

Not sure how I feel about All Star Mode being incomplete until you get everyone. I think I'll avoid it until the lock vanishes.

Yeah,I pretty much do the same. Mainly for getting the All Stars related stuff, by the time I feel like going back for the last character, everyone should be unlocked.
