That's exactly what I meant by "Stretching it"
They were allowed to use the Kremlings in Smash. I think they do own King K. Rool.
I do remember that Donkey Kong 64 isn't on the VC due to Jetpac alone. I doubt Rare would care, but Microsoft is a lot more picky about this type of copyright stuff.(for the record, I don't really blame them all that much. Seeing your property on a system you don't own can be annoying if you don't get money for it) Not that I agree with them, but I understand the idea behind it.

I wish Nintendo would make a royalty agreement with Microsoft already. Bargaining with Microsoft may not be a favorable option, but it's better than Rare's titles being Lost Forever.

Lucina will return for 5 BECAUSE nobody wants her back.
Lucas, Wolf, Squirtle, and Ivysaur would like to have a word with you.

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerPart of me thinks we would have gotten Roy back if they hadn't already put effort into making a Lucina costume. I'm probably wrong, though.
By the way, our next Marth clone will obviously be King Marthmarthmarth.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaRidley is the third biggest Nintendo villain. Meta Knight and Dedede aren't villains. Star Fox is too small for Wolf to count. Wario is more anti-hero these days. K. Rool lacked staying power. Pokemon and Fire Emblem have no reoccurring villains. He's very notable not only in the Metroid series, but also outside it as well. He's made appearances in every Smash game to date, and he was a boss in Nintendo Land as well. And as playable he'd be able to show off the agility he's known for, whereas a boss he has to stay still a lot so that the fighters can hit him. Ridley very much fits better as a fighter than as a boss.
Nobody likes Marth except weaker Lucina.
@Baffle Blend: We have yet to see them proven as gone. Squirtle and Ivysaur are the only ones easy to assume gone, without taking into account possible leaks. Snake is kind of hard to say.
Also, those aren't rotations anyway. Is anybody replacing the two(possible) cuts? If not, nobody is rotated in.
BTW, a lot of people are reporting Marth plays highly differently. If Lucina is like old Marth, then I love it. So yes... some people do, man. I would've picked Roy for a quick clone to return, but Lucina is awesome as a choice too.

She was handled a lot more poorly than them, though. Sakurai confirmed that the only difference between her and Marth is that she's missing Marth's damage output.

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerSquirtle —> Greninja?
But nothing on Ivysaur. Unless we get Mewtwo or something.
edit:
No, he said that her damage output is equalized along her attacking hitbox, rather than entirely concentrated at the tip.
So, she's better than Marth at fighting anywhere but the tip of the blade.

I have a message from another time...Yeah, I could see her being made to be "old Marth". To a degree, anyway. I don't mind either way. I like having 4 FE characters myself. My only hope is she has some more differences than what it seems like. A different Final Smash would be nice, at least. I think until we see some gameplay, the amount of differences will be unknown. I do think he is implying they have the same moveset, with that wording, but I don't know if he actually means that.
Anyway, while it's neat Greninja (in practice only) took Squirtle's place, I don't know if it means we'll get a Grass type. Sakurai said he just liked his design. By this logic, I don't think he really was meant to be our "new Water guy" so much as "a kick-ass ninja frog I think is awesome-looking".
I want Sceptile too, but his actual statements does make me feel like Mewtwo is the most likely sixth Pokemon if we get one without DLC.
Shadow?
x5: ...which means she's overall weaker. She's Marth's Pichu.
