I wonder how much stuff will be pulled from Kirby Fighters/Deluxe.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerAgrees with Midna on Smash For. being a PR vehicle for new games instead of a celebration of Nintendo history.
I've decided to use my last 99SEK offer for the 3DS version(trading in Kirby Triple Delux and Brawl). I kind of don't want to pay money for this game.
As an aside, didn't everyone expect MK 8 to move millions of consoles only for the real sales to be tiny since everyone who wanted the game already had the console?
The old series are all mainly accounted for now, so the only place in history left to go is the present. News Flash: F-Zero is not that important.
Sorry if someone brought this up already, but according to the newly added items page
...
So that's why no one could get it to work in the E3 demo...
Representing old characters: Nintendo is grasping at straws to find new characters.
Representing new characters: Nintendo is using the series only to advertise.
However you see it, people will complain. And I like to see new faces in here.

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Pikachu and Jigglypuff count, too. Pokémon had only been around in the US for one year before Smash 64 was released.

Yup.
- Pokémon Red and Blue: September 30, 1998
- Super Smash Bros. (64): April 27, 1999
The Japanese releases were a bit farther apart, but only by a couple years. Even in Japan, Pokémon was the exact same age back then as Xenoblade is now.

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerI would like to note that this is the American release we're talking about. In Japan (aka the country that matters most for this kind of thing) Pokemon was already a well-established franchise by several years.
On the subject of advertising, I definitely care about the franchises that get represented, but frankly advertising is less of a concern than how the character actually plays. Do I want Lip from Panel De Pon? Sure, she' the closest thing we can get to a Tetris rep without making one up from whole cloth (and yes, I'm aware it's not similar) and she definitely has boosted chances for being in Captain Rainbow. Similar things could be said for Takamaru or Isaac or Ridley. That said, if they somehow managed to cram the Inklings in I would be all over that shit.
I mentioned that, too. Pokémon Red/Green was released in Japan in 1996. Xenoblade Chronicles was released in 2010 in Japan.
tl;dr: 64 Pikachu and 4 Shulk are almost the same age. And 64 Pikachu was actually younger.

◊ today.

well i mean, if you want to keep going, and i might as well join in...
i heard arc the lad 2 is pretty depressing. havent gotten very far in it but so far theres been genocide, child experimentation, the first games protagonists are actual terrorists, and the main character is in a coma after his childhood friend exploded in his arms; he was almost forced to kill her but then she broke free of the mind control and suddenly- boom and apparantly the ending would be considered a downer in any other jrpg :V
but really, how do you judge the most depressing game in the world without actually knowing every game in the world?
