Stages! Past and FD versions of revealed stages.
◊
Glad to see Boxing Ring has one. It was too hype to be banned in tournaments...
Vote. .#Bayonetta 4 SmashThey'll probably keep it Riki and Dunban, just because trying to make it choose random team members might be more trouble than it's worth.
Watching the English trailer, and Shulk's voice did sound odd to me, but only because it initially sounded garbled. Took a while to sink in that his accent's just that thick. Also, having actually seen both language trailers for the first time, it's really interesting just how much dialogue gets added in the English version. Beyond Japanese "I'm really feeling it!" and Metal Face's appearance the trailer is basically silent.
Curious how Shulk's "visions" work in-game. It's clearly some form of counter, but it has variations of some sort.

I thought he said every stage will have a Final Destination variant though...
I'm still not quite fond of these (I'd rather that they were Battlefield variants rather than Final Destination variants), but at least we'll have a variety of stages to pick from once the game gets a competitive scene going.note
That image was probably made before the stage was officially revealed/named.

Wasn't the Smash FGC generally receptive of the game when they got their hands on it? Or am I hearing that wrong?
Also, DAT ASS

I don't see why adding other characters would be an issue. Chain Attack seems to be a non-interferable cutscene move, so if the damage is the same each time, there's no other difference. Also, all three characters seem to attack at once, so replacing Dunban with Melia wouldn't change how Shulk and Riki move, for example.

I have a message from another time...Well, when the former is no longer the majority, or assumed, state (in the industry in general), maybe that attitude won't make sense...
I mean, even here, Shulk's undies are an alt-costume, whereas Zamus is a choice between fanservicey and fancervicier

I have a message from another time...Was anyone actually bothered by Samus' alt costume? There was justified hate for the original Zero Suit design, but the Zero Mission and Fusion alts were met with mostly positive reactions, and a bunch of people whining about a 'feminist' or 'social justice warrior' backlash that never actually happened.
Though in regards to the Shulk costume, I would have liked them to try fit it to his animation rig better, even if it meant bulking him up more than his source game. The hips and shoulders look really off in some shots.

On Shulk, I wonder what his variant B moves will be. More Monado arts probably?
Well, I remember one journalist calling it "fap fodder" but other than that I agree, there wasn't any backlash.

Vote. .#Bayonetta 4 SmashJust to note, I will only ever use hashtags for the sake of a joke.
Can we at least agree that we need this
◊ alt?
If Snake gets a skimpier costume, it should be the Peace Walker swimsuit.
◊ Like the Zero Suit Samus costumes, it could also be made by modifying the base Sneaking Suit model (assuming we get MGS 2-era Solid Snake as the default again).

...Let's see... Smash Leak, huge new MK 8 DLC, a new 3DS, Shulk's reveal. It's a pretty overwhelming time to be a Nintendo fan, innit?

Hah. I do lik how Shulk's Chain Attack final smash uses almost my favorite team from Xenoblade. Just replace Shulk with Melia and you've got it.
To be honest, though, I have a lot of favored teams in that game. Another favorite is Melia, Shulk, and Seven. Or Seven, Shulk, and Riki.
