It's probably similar to what they do for Paper Mario.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! No, the Paper Mario series uses 3D models that are just rendered to look flat.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book! You can tell whenever a character turns. It's something you can probably only catch in slow motion though.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Nah, in the original Paper Mario you could see the flatness a lot of times, like when using Mario's spin move for example. There was also one star kid that hid himself by turning 90 degrees.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."only thing really worth paying attention to in that...
"P.S. If it was a real leak, Nintendo would have sued the ESRB as it breaks their non-disclosure agreement and if that had happened we would have heard about it by now"
is being sued the automatic response to breaking a non-disclosure agreement? isnt there something between "doing nothing about it" and "sue the shit out of them"? and would we really have heard about it?
Leaker, as in ''the'' leaker, posted an image with a locked All-Star mode selection.

Presuming the leak is real, that means that he had not unlocked all the characters when he posted the roster.
Just thought I'd let you guys know. The peeps at Smash Boards have been keeping tabs on the whole thing.
I think the leak could be real, or it could be fake. Either way, we don't gotta wait much longer. Looking forward to it.
Anyway, regardless, I kinda like the idea of the Duck Hunt dog because it might be a quadripedal character. Like, it's just a dog, fighting like a dog, except with ducks. Y'know, biting and scratching and stuff. I think it'll be amusing if it's placed in a positive light, as an attempt to get it Rescued from the Scrappy Heap.
Yes, I'm stupid. Edited.

So, I found this. There's still sound effects but this seems to be the best quality of the Mega Man 2 medley we've gotten thus far.
Playing as devil's advocate here: It's kind of weird that someone faking a picture would change the UI in full awareness that it'd easy points against them... Unless that's exactly what they were going for, knowing that some dude on the internet would reach that conclusion and pull it in their defense. Huh...
...Sakurai won't be revealing crap these following weeks, won't he?

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Good question.
Last week was a pretty eventful week; two new assist trophies, an alternate costume, and the addition of a music section. The only filler post was the Smash Run post, which at least revealed info not seen on the site yet (Even if we all already knew that stuff from the demos).
Not sure if that means there'll be a drought of info, or if he's going to reveal more stuff now that we're so close.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! There'll probably be a Smash-related video soonish. I do expect more ramping up, but I'm not Masahiro Sakurai of Japan.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectAlso, there's a very good chance(if real, I mean) that was a quick beta roster thrown together to be played for the ERSB to review a video of it. Which would explain the actual placement of characters and quality of portraits.
Although there isn't that many inconsistencies. Yoshi's placement is only odd till one remembers that by Melee, he was very near the rest of the current regular 4 Mario characters. Rosalina and Bowser Jr. are now. Also, it does seem like the newer characters(not counting the 3 last clones) are placed after the previous characters in the same series. But eh, even if that's the current placement with all of those, there's still secret unlockables and DLC to consider. Either way, even if it is fake, they did a really good job of selecting a believable roster, using an actual image from the Tomodachi Life Stage while making sure it wasn't a blatant copy of the image(by tilting it, if not looking like a unique picture was taken. If it was an exact replica, it was more or less "let's copy this image after I got the Magazine early", but since it wasn't, there's at least a legit chance it's real. It's a little hard to fake, but it's easy to photoshop in some way if you got the original image. If the leaks came out more than a day or two before(like a week) the article, yeah, the stage would clinch it that they had at least some real info.
To note, I would not be surprised if some of this was fake. It's always possible. I do feel that the lack of any good evidence to debunk it makes it very likely to be the real thing, but even so, I won't be disappointed either way. It's not my most ideal roster, but it's still got a slew of really neat characters, imo. After a lot of the official announcements, I kind of gave up on having "the roster I really freakin' wanted" and lowered my expectations. Plus, the Mii's are severely better than I expected, so my hype shot up. Once the full roster is released, I think I'll post a short synopsis of the characters, including preferences of who should be in and opinions on what they're like via gameplay.
Shadow? One thing that immensely bugs me about that Japan Time podcast is just how accepting of the leak they are. It's a mindset I've seen for years that continues to irritate me: that the default assumption is 100% fact, and someone has to go out of his way to prove that it's fake. It's, like, literally the complete opposite thing of what should be happening.
I can accept the Tomodachi Life stage as evidence to the Stage Select image being real. Famitsu isn't exactly known for keeping it's info secured, but even then images are hard to come by so easily. But the Character Select....there's just so many things that feel wrong about it, and there's been no evidence to prove it right. Hell, the Klonoa "leak"
shows it's not only plausible to fake the renders, but plausible to put this much effort in a hoax. It's happened before.

I'm pretty sure they did the same thing- Again, he just always has a render-as-flat effect on him, while everyone else only gets it on the Flatzone stages.
I sure said that!
