i was sort of assuming metaknight's costume was more than just a mask, with the blue skin actually being part of the suit. doesnt really help that the area where his eyes look through has black skin in contrast to the rest of him.
not sure whats going on with the hands though? he seems to be missing them out of costume...
Just for reference:
(Again)Meta Knight art from Kirby's Adventure.
◊ Without his mask, he looks like a black Kirby with purple shoes and white eyes. However, the art has him with yellow eyes, so it was probably a sprite limitation for the NES to give Masked Meta Knight that eye color.
Unmasked Meta Knight
◊ in almost every subsequent game he's able to be unmasked in: a blue angry Kirby with white eyes and purple shoes.
And here's where the almost came from.
◊ This is unmasked Meta Knight in Kirby Super Star Stacker, except he looks more like a duller-blue-palette Kirby than himself, but that's probably because he's supposed to be at a distance.
Kirby's appearance is more than likely a reference to the art of the first picture, as has been previously stated. While it is weird for Kirby to have that color-scheme instead of Meta Knight, I'm bringing it up again because I'm suspecting/hoping that this
◊ to be Meta Knight's alt, if he has one (though I expect them to change the mask a bit if they do).
On the same note (and going back to what I was originally going to post here), this
◊ is what
◊ Galacta Knight
◊ looks like, and this is what Dark Meta Knight looks like
◊ (it's hard to see, but DMK has a scar over his left eye). They both look similar to Meta Knight's black and pink palettes
◊ in Brawl (although Dark Meta existed before Brawl, while Galacta came after), so I'm hoping that those two colors get swapped for DMK and Galacta alts, especially if Butterfly Knight isn't going to be used at all.

Say three Hail Palutenas and one Shigeru Miyamoto.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectThat won't happen until tomorrow at least. I don't really care what it's referencing (if anything), but I just felt like commenting on it ('specially since it's Kirby related).note
...Honestly though, if people want another discussion topic, I feel it's better to actually try to bring one up (as Enlong often does, however futile that ends up being) instead of griping about the current discussion, especially if there are others who are actually interested in said discussion.

I know, I'm sorry. But it was all just pointless that I couldn't help but complain about it myself.
...So then! Anyone else worried that Mr. Game and Watch isn't coming back? I'd have expected them to have revealed him properly after Pac-Man's trailer, like they did later with Falcon, but they didn't.
Sakurai: You don't want Doctor Mario back? Well no, fuck you, now everyone's Mario!
◊
At this point, I'm assuming that if Sakurai doesn't reveal the rest of the missing vets before the Japanese release, then it's one of these scenarios:
- The characters are in the game, but for whatever reason, Sakurai didn't feel like showing them all off, probably to focus on the newcomers and other fan favorites.
- They are in the game, but they're locked, for whatever reason. (This isn't assuming that everyone he's already revealed will all be available at the start, though.)
- They're cut. Plain and simple. This still leaves the possibility of them turning up as DLC.
- Regarding DLC characters, if they exist, I assume that they'll be free to download, and when the Wii U version comes out, these characters will be available from the start.
- Regarding DLC characters, if they exist, I assume that they'll be free to download, and when the Wii U version comes out, these characters will be available from the start.
Otherwise, I'm just waiting to see what else he'll reveal before the 3DS release. And I can bet that he'll still be revealing things about the Wii U version even after the 3DS version comes out, if only to play up the Wii U version's features.
EDIT: I love that Super Smash Mario mock-up

A japan only manga that adapts the mainstream games.
It's very comedy focused.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.
Mario Kart 8 doesn't have Mewtwo either. 0/10 wouldn't buy.
I wouldn't worry about Game & Watch.
His whole purpose in the Pac Man trailer was to point out his historical significance. They wouldn't drop him and lose that. It proves they also have a model ready to go, or at least have the means to make one.

A CGI model...not one for the actual game.
I'm pretty sure G&W isn't really flat, he just has that outline that covers his model from any angle.

No one will be on this thread because everyone will be playing!
...well, except the people who didn't get it.
