Just for fun I decided to put together the debuts of all the Smash Bros. characters in chronological order...
- 1980 - Mr. Game & Watch
- 1981 - Mario, Donkey Kong
- 1983 - Luigi
- 1984 - Little Mac
- 1985 - Ice Climbers, R.O.B., Peach, Bowser
- 1986 - Link, Zelda, Samus, Pit, Palutena
- 1990 - Marth, Dr. Mario, Yoshi, Captain Falcon
- 1992 - Kirby, King Dedede, Wario
- 1993 - Fox, Falco, Meta Knight
- 1994 - Ness, Diddy Kong
- 1996 - Pikachu, Jigglypuff, Mewtwo, Charizard, Ivysaur, Squirtle
- 1997 - Wolf
- 1998 - Young Link, Sheik, Ganondorf
- 1999 - Pichu
- 2001 - Villager, Olimar
- 2002 - Roy, Toon Link
- 2004 - Zero Suit Samus
- 2005 - Ike
- 2006 - Lucas, Lucario, Mii
- 2007 - Rosalina, Wii Fit Trainer
- 2012 - Robin, Lucina
- 2013 - Greninja
...The thing that was most evident is the four-year gap from 2008-2011. Shulk's inclusion would help with that a bit, at least...

Welcome to th:|None of the images could be shopped from any others(except Ganondorf's and maybe Wario's). The only possible thing is somebody drew them themselves. Why? None match the actual angles, and no image program can get a perfect angle. It wouldn't work. It's a drawing or real. Which is unlikely, since many of those earlier similar images first appeared barely, I think, 2 weeks ago? That's a buttload of work in 2 weeks. Very unlikely.
And no, better time couldn't have been spent on them. Because that's not who Sakurai wanted. And since when was Duck Hunt Dog not popular? Mostly to beat up on, which would be possible. He's pretty popular, to be honest.
Likewise, we don't know if this is the full roster, also DLC is very likely. Lastly, there is no "roster space". Not with DLC. The game can handle tons of stuff, just not certain aspects of characters at best. Transformations likely lagged the system too much to keep in. Ice Climbers might have similar issues(but it's possible they could remake them as a single Climber with similar moves, as well).

Shadow?I hadn't seen anyone interested in playing as anything Duck Hunt related until this week.
@wanderlustwarrior: He's already in Super Smash Bros. Crusade.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — Ultimatepheer@Naming the Dog "Stanley": That's already the name of the protagonist of Donkey Kong 3
, who also had a trophy in Smash, so the dog would need a different name to avoid Names The Same, in my opinion.

Those images are not identical, Ogodei. So nope, leak is still open.
No image of anything matched ever. The only thing that'll make this fake is Sakurai at this point.
Shadow?
