The only disconfirmation was really really poor. You can find Character Trophies in Smash Run as is(Greninja was found). Finding his Trophy means nothing. Same with his shadow being in Jungle Japes. That wouldn't stop him from appearing. I more or less don't believe he's in, but that's due to this current leak being too hard to find "not believable". But eh.
You wouldn't need to remove the shadow. A full model is far less confusing compared to a single shadow. Unless Cranky had a full black costume, that is. Toon Link and Conductor Link actually look alike enough to justify a temporary removal. Although I could see it happening, but somebody else replacing him(Dixie?).

Shadow?I will say this about the leak though: At least people are actually discussing the game as opposed to debating endlessly about Zamus and her costumes.
I am!
Why... who... what madman wanted to mix a Mimic and Shes Got Legs?
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."
Is that sarcasm?
Anyway, I think the point of Mimicuties is a subversion on what one usually expects a Chest Monster to be.
Generally, a monster pretending to be a treasure chest will be revealed to be a chest-shape mouth full of teeth and (occsionally) the items and body parts of previously unlucky adventurers.
To have the treasure chest instead suddenly sprout a pair of human legs and kick you to death, without opening at all, is utterly unexpected. It's a delightful bit of absurdity that I quite appreciate.

I have a message from another time...When was Greninja found in Smash Run, may I ask?
I guess it's possible that was only used as a placeholder in the demo versions or something, and the actual Greninja trophy won't be obtainable via Smash Run anyways.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaThe Mimics from Dragon Quest games are meh, but the Mimics in Brave Frontier are utter monstrosities!
But after seeing them I thought of the pulley-with-legs toy from Toy Story, to be honest.
Unfortunately, Mis-blamed and Scapegoat Creator are easier to utilize on the main or most well-known faces of the development team than trying to figure out who on the production team is responsible for what particular grievance.
Also, I kind of skimmed over the last few pages, but what's this about DLC? Was that confirmed that characters will be a part of that?

Or right when the game is finished... not long before release, though. Deadlines! It's like working on homework due in a few weeks right after finishing what's due in a few days. I think.

We've already seen models are not the issue- The game can support four Olimars with full teams of three Pikmin and still have a bunch of crazy shit happening on the stage and with items at a smooth 60 fps, albeit via halving it for Poke Ball 'mons and Assists.
The only potential issue is computer implementation which strikes me as not nearly as big a hurdle.
I sure said that!
