Leak probably not actually real. So what else is new?
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI'm personally gonna hold my tongue on this whole debate, but I will say this, a lot of what people are arguing and saying sounds remarkably similar to when Brawl's final roster was leaked. Thread Hop, so sorry if I'm simply echoing someone else.
Actually, I will say one thing. That is a sweet looking render of the Duck Hunt Dog.
Now's it's Shulk Time!![]()
Nothing for a couple more hours.
(Less than a month before the Japanese release... Getting antsy about the suspicious lack of character reveals...)

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerThe fact that this was done so recently and quickly that it even has Meta Knight's Smash 4 render in when it's only been about a week since it got released almost makes me think either there's a chance of it actually being real or whoever faked it is a professional at doing this kind of thing.
The New Age of Awesome is here! Not even the sky is the limit!
Yeah, but there's still 10-20 AWOL. Since I really don't think there will be any Unlockables in this one, I'm worried there's been a gratuitous number of cuts.

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerWhat would be the point of drumming up excitement for characters we would have already played as by then, though?

Lucario, Toon Link, and Luigi have already been revealed. So they're probably going the SSFIV or PSASBR route.
How come I didn't notice that? That's a good point, unless they are selected in some unusual way for some reason.

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."I will note a couple things that are in the "leak's" favor. First, the name of the player starts with ESRB so it could be a copy they sent to them for rating. Also, the sheer amount of time it would take to edit that, especially with everyone currently confirmed. Assuming it's fake, they would have needed to start with a screenshot of the E3 roster and edit it from there, and still make the screen look like it was taken with a camera. And let alone finding believeable renders for some of them, especially the Duck Hunt Dog.
Don't know, it still could be fake, but that does look pretty convincing.
It can't be "With Anyone" since the customization button is shown. Either Mii Fighters are not unlocked, or it's a fake screen.
Everything else is normal. Although the various picture quality for the characters does make it questionable too.
As for Dark Pit, he can have Brawl's moveset. Just needs a new model. Maybe another pair of wings and some slightly different arms/legs? It would work well, and make sure he isn't confused with Pit when they're both metal.

Shadow?ESRB doesn't play games before rating them. They rate based on information the companies give them because they're usually not in a playable state at the time of rating.
And there are serious legal repercussions for withholding info that might alter the rating during that.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerParticular issues with that leak:
- No Mii Fighters. A case could be made that turning customization off removes them from selection, though
- Pittoo is there. He was introduced with no fanfare in Palutena's reveal trailer, which is a pretty good indication he doesn't have a slot. They could have split him off since, but the only justification I can think of for him being playable would be using other parts of Pit's moveset, which wouldn't be the case with that
- Dr. Mario is in. Seriously, what the hell
- Yoshi is lumped in with the Mario characters despite Smash considering him to be from his own series
- The new clones are down at the end, despite the old ones being with the rest of their series
- Shulk is with the third party characters despite being a Nintendo property
- No Ice Climbers. I don't really see a reason to cut them
Duck Hunt Dog seems like a reasonable name for him. Unless the Ducks are a major part of his moveset like Luma is for Rosalina, then Dog & Ducks could work.
Shulk has no other area to go to. The clones being grouped together is kind of logical. Who says the rest are still clones? Dr. Mario is getting his own slot again, or not being in at all. e already know he is not going to be an alt because of his unique moves. Mii Fighters might not be unlocked, and the customization being off does make sense. We do see the actually "Off" on that button. Ice Climbers have a fair chance to be cut, as Sakurai said before he might not be able to have them in. Dark Pit has more than enough ability to be different, so that's not a strike against it either(as I said before, the only reason he won't be playable at best is if Sakurai doesn't think a new model is worth it. Colors alone won't make them separate).
Yoshi, however, I actually could see an issue. Or Sakurai decided to put the new Mario characters after him. I actually do find that a major hole in that particular image.(nothing else really is a problem you listed at this point) However, noting that the clones could be in their own area, Sakurai may be changing the way he sets up the roster. I don't think the exact order may matter much anymore.

Shadow?

The more I look at it, the more I notice how the quality of the Captain Falcon and Wario portraits are much higher-res than Mario and the like.
There's also no Mii Fighters.
