I imagine that not revealing Gabondorf today may have been a smart move.
If I may be a cynic for a moment: the HW Ganondorf reveal was all "here's Ganondorf! He's so powerful! He can levitate! He has two evil Greatsword! He throws explosive dark magic and lightning astride an evil stallion!" So, can you imagine the levels of apathy that would result if, on the next day, Sakurai went "Here's Ganondorf! He fights like Captain Falcon!"
I have a message from another time...Oh, I think I heard about that.
But I stopped playing Donkey Kong Country at DKC 2. I didn't care for 3 and haven't paid attention since. :P
Shame, Tropical Freeze (And its predecessor, Returns) do the series justice.
Anyway, just to clarify, Uprising has 108 different weapon types, but most of what we've seen so far here are items, which are found mainly in Uprising's multiplayer mode (And occasionally in singleplayer). The Ore Club and Drill Arm are weapons, but the Killer Eye, Daybreak, X-Bomb, and Back Shield are items.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I came up with some specials (excluding Final Smash) for Shulk earlier today. I think some other people have also done movesets for him... I'd be interested in seeing them.
I went with no Final Smash in the event that there's a Monado Art that would work well as one down the line that I have yet to recieve. I'm only so far in the game, after all.
Neutral special: Back Slash: Shulk performs an overhead slash with the Monado, which deals twice the damage if he hits someone from behind. Neutral special (Activate Monado:) Monado Buster: A long range, powerful, overhead swing of the Monado. It deals a lot of damage and is great for edgeguarding, but it has a bit of a windup and drains the Talent Gauge completely. Best used to finish foes off. Drains Talent Gauge: 100%
Side Special: Slit Edge: Shulk stabs forward with the Monado, giving him some minimal horizontal momentum in the air. Striking someone on the ground successfully will cut their remaining shield down by half of the full size, regardless if they guarded or not. If their shield is already past the halfway mark then it cuts it down to the bare minimum size. Side special (Activate Monado:) Monado Speed: Shulk becomes immensely faster for about seven to eight seconds, giving him incredible dash speeds, extremely fast falls and bare bones end lag on all of his (now faster in execution) attacks. This allows him to relentlessly pursue and combo characters, and when playing with other people it's a great way to throw them off. Drains Talent Gauge: 66%
Up Special: Air Slash: Shulk leaps into the air and does an upward slash, carrying him upwards a little. Off of the ground he has some left and right movement when leaping, allowing him to (for example) jump over a small projectile and hit the opponent. Up Special (Activate Monado:) Monado Purge: With a glowing green blade, Shulk jumps and swings the Monado full-circle around him twice, counterclockwise if he's facing right. Recovery-wise it's great, since it gives Shulk a lot of upward momentum. Offensively, the first swing will knock people upwards so they get hit by the second's knockback. It also makes people drop any held items they have, including badges or Bunny Hoods and the like.
Sadly, it does not inflict Aura Seal on Lucario. Drains Talent Gauge: 50%
Down Special: Battle Soul: Shulk will stand low to the ground, surrounded in a light aura. He'll do this as long as you hold down B. What it does is continuously inflict damage on Shulk, but fill up he Talent Gauge at the same time. He'll automatically stop once it's full- from 0 to full will inflict about 40% damage onto Shulk. Down Special (full Talent Gauge:) Activate Monado: Shulk activates the Monado's power, changing all of his specials to Monado Arts. One of Shulk's taunts will deactivate it if you haven't used one of the Arts yet, so don't worry if you change your mind after activating it. Down Special (Activate Monado:) Monado Shield: Shulk creates a barrier around himself, that remains active for either 7-8 seconds or for 15% of damage. See, as long as it's up Shulk won't flinch or be damaged by attacks from the opponent, although the barrier can be broken. If hit by an attack stronger than 15% from the start, Monado Shield still absorbs all that damage for Shulk. Drains Talent Gauge: 50%

... That is awesome.
... Actually, with his new design and fighting style, giving him a Demise costume would be much easier.
He's getting SS, Oo T and TP costumes in HW so if Smash!Ganondorf still looks like he came from TP we know where they got the model from.

I'm watching a bunch of the videos
from Hyrule Warriors, and had it come out before Smash, we might've gotten a lot of variation in moves for Sheik and Ganondorf, plus probably some new costumes all around.
@NES Classic: That would actually be a pretty sweet gimmick. It'd mirror his own game just like Robin's moveset does.
Regarding Final Smashes, I see a few possibilities: Using his Combat Clairvoyance in some fashion, using his final art Monado Cyclone, or say to hell with end-game spoilers and give him the True Monado
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Just about all of the comments for the Daybreak PotD were some variation of "Alright already, you made Uprising, we get it!"
And they actually have a point there, if you ask me.

"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerDaybreak was a cool enough item that I don't mind.
I just want an Eggplant Bomb, dammit.
