What would you call a crossover like that
, Super Super Bros vs. Mortal Kombat?
I like the Great Maze in concept, but the endgame felt a little too padded out by that point (We already had three previous levels set in Subspace), and it wound up feeling a bit repetitive.
If it were, like, its own separate mode or something you unlock after clearing SSE it'd help avert the Ending Fatigue at least.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! The Great Maze was okay, but after playing Kirby And The Amazing Mirror it just felt so small.
Smash Run looks like a bigger version of The Underground Maze
◊ from Melee, so that should be fun on 3DS.

You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayThough gameplay-wise, SSE was pretty repetitive, I still really liked it. The story was pretty great, seeing all those characters doing things together and the boss battles were pretty cool. Plus the ending with them all standing together while the main theme plays with subtitles for the lyrics. I honestly wouldn't mind another story mode.

Some kind of fleshed-out standalone game using the SSB 4 engine would actually be really cool. Or as a DLC mode since we know it's not going to be featured in the game's release.
I'm of the opinion that the SSE was kinda meh, but had a ton of potential to be something amazing if given full development time.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique! They could just as easily make an OC or several for it.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyJust let the player choose whether they wish to start as Mario, Link, Kirby, or Pikachu or something, and allow you to recruit all the others later anyway.
That or use a Mii as the player avatar.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I was thinking you'd have a Mii Fighter as your avatar. At the start of the game you choose one of the three kinds to determine your attacks, stat gains, and usable equipment. After that you travel through worlds based on various Nintendo games and recruit the other fighters to your side.

So this is how Ridley will be fitting in.

Edit: New picture. They're just so happy when sending Donkey Kong to his doom.

These rearrangements
only further fuel my desire to see a Xenoblade stage with accompanying music. Though I haven't yet decided if it's worth having the roster be tainted by Shulk.
Reboot Dante managed it. Of course, the advantage of that is that you can use the characters you like to beat up the ones you dislike, but few were as charitable as I was in that regard.

Cortex should take a 12-step plan off a 10-step pierMy process for dealing with unfavourable character inclusions:
"Oh look, here's a character I do not like. Well, since I do not like him, I will not pick him, and instead go a few rows down and pick a character I do like."
Or you know, do whatever seems best. I can't tell you how to live your life.

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectCould've sworn that the double' o Cole controversy overshadowed the DMC outcry by a fair margin.
In any case, it's not like this game doesn't have any divisive picks already, and Shulk frankly seems rather harmless.

You know what's weird? Playing through the subspace emissary again, I actually really enjoyed The Great Maze.
Am I crazy?
