I think a good progression to get into the series is Awakening > Sacred Stones > Blazing Sword > Tellius Duology > Everything else.

Speaking of, what other good assist trophies could we get for Fire Emblem besides Lyn? don't say hector

I think Radiant Dawn is considered to be one of the more difficult entries in the series.

[up][up]I've said it once and I'll say it again- Triangle Attack, starring either Palla, Katria and Est or Caeda, Elincia and Sumia.

[up]The first part, anyway. The difficulty is all over the place because of the shifting perspectives and the fact that, frankly, the Dawn Brigade is not an especially good fighting force, especially compared to Crimea or the Greil Mercenaries.

Sorry to interrupt the Fire Emblem Discussion in the Smash Bros Thread, but here's interesting to note.

The main points of interests are-

  • THEMES The video game contains mild themes in the form of crude humor involving one character using flatulence as a form of attacking.
  • NUDITY The video game contains very mild nudity involving an overweight character who incidentally shows the upper part of his buttocks due to his pants slightly slipping. This element would of been allowed at a lower category.

So Wario keeps his Wario Waft attack. And maybe King Hippo is in the game in some capacity?

[up]I think King Hippo could either be an assist trophy or maybe a boss of the Punch-Out!! Boxing Ring. They didn't have it in the E3 build but that is because they didn't announce it yet.

I'm pretty sure the butt thing is Wario.

There is no drug use or drug references in the video game

RIP Snake.

[up][up] Seems likely. After all, Nabbit is in the Mushroom Kingdom U stage and he was nowhere to be found at E3.

I wouldn't count Snake out yet, though the lack of a slightly damaging cig taunt will be disappointing.

Anybody remember how Super Smash Bros jumped from E to T between 64 and Melee?

Who has any idea why that happened...

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say "The ESRB are way more sensitive to graphical updates than they should be. Fun fact: Link alone almost guarantees a T rating in a GCN game on up, because he is a semi-realistically proportioned human and holds a weapon."

I sure said that!

My guess is that Melee and Brawl were less cartoon-y with their violence than 64 and 4.

In seriousness, 64 to Melee was probably just because of the graphics upgrade made the violence more realistic, so they upped the rating. Brawl kept it at T thanks to Wario and probably referencing so many M-rated games through the Chronicle (Metal Gear, Eternal Darkness, etc.) Smash 4 3D bringing it down to E10+ is most likely from losing Snake but keeping Wario, in addition to the slight super-deforming on the 3D versions visuals.

@Pulse Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask were both E. tongue

So yeah, it was probably the graphics jump.

On that note, what was OOT 3D's rating, for clarity?

That's... bizarre.

Why would Link assure a T rating? Most of the "Realistic" Zelda games don't have anything more terrifying than the others.

E10+

I think E10+ is just supposed to be the middle way between E and T. "This is edgy, but kids can still play it".

Shadow The Hedgehog was the first E10+ game I ever saw, probably cause it was more violent than the regular Sonic games and because they swore so much.

The ESRB is silly anyway and can't decide what counts for what.

Ocarina of Time 3D is rated E10+ for animated blood. fantasy violence, and suggestive themes.

Reminds me about how Ace Attorney Dual Destinies got an M rating off of what would probably be standard on any TV-14 cop show on the air right now. ESRB can be a bit too strict sometimes.
