Random thought: What will Robin do when holding items that need two hands like the Super Scope? He's got them full almost all the time. Floating books or books that stick to the back mayhaps?

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Yeah, I'm guessing Robin will alternate between floating the item and their Bronze/Levin Sword depending on what they're doing.
... Y'know, I'm by no means expecting it, but it'd be nifty if weapons from FE were items in Smash for. Like, a Brave Sword that automatically swings twice, or a Short Spear that sticks in the ground after being thrown and can be grabbed again.

I sure said that!
Or a throwing axe that functions like a boomerang and can be caught.
We Are With You Zack Snyder
Well in some screens of Robin there are some screens where he or she isn't even holding a sword. So I think it will be sheathed when they don't need to use the sword. So one hand is free to pick up items.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre Adventure![]()
That, or he just uses his telekinetic powers to "hold" one. Doesn't need to be ridiculously complex.
Also, I read up on how a couple of veterans are changed from Brawl since we've had so much focus on the newcomers
Some general stuff:
Mario plays as an all around better version of his Brawl self.
Link, Samus, Yoshi, and Luigi have been massively improved and are probably the best incarnation of the character to appear in any Smash game. Same with Bowser.
Zelda has been nerfed. Don't ask.
Sheik and Zero Suit Samus are the best as of the demo versions.
Fox appear to have gotten a little less powerful, and Marth appears to have his mobility reduced a bit.
Some specific tidbits regarding Yoshi and Luigi:
Yoshi can jump out of shielding now. Yoshi mainers everywhere are rejoicing.
Luigi's skid from 64 has returned... but Luigi can wall jump now, he is quicker overall, he has a new d-throw which is an excellent combo starter, and his dash attack which was previously the worst dash attack in the history of Smash may now be one of the best (maybe even the best): People have said that if Luigi gets a hit in on his Dash Attack, the rest are practically guaranteed to hit as well which would suggest it had a high increase in priority.
Also, missed it the first time around, but one of Bowser's custom variations of his Fire Breath is a projectile move in the vein of how he usually spits flames at you in the Mario series.

Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!So how was Yoshi improved? Anything beyond shield-jumping? I could barely find any footage of him and all I could glean was that he's Yoshi. (Also a changed dash, which did seem somewhat good.)
I dearly hope that they'll take care of Zelda's balancing, because nerfing her from already being one of the worst characters would just be a disgrace.
I wonder if they'll tweak the heavyweights. It's interesting how powerful they seemed even at high levels of play. Obviously they didn't seem to be overpowered at a casual skill level in spite of that, which I think is really hard to accomplish.
Egg throw's range is reduced but Yoshi in return gets excellent control over the angle of the eggs (and he can in fact throw it so it goes near horizontally or about 80 degrees vertically) so he should be able to hit anything near him. His jab combo is three hits now, and he has new up smash (a flip kick), and he overall has more speed and power than he's ever had before. Also, if you air dodge while still flutter jumping, it kinda stalls you so that you do not reach maximum height which can be both a buff and a nerf.
They've kinda tweaked weight to be a more important stat for how far you get launched by moves, so things like fall speed is less important in Smash 4.

Fantastic Supreme Überkaiser Emperor Folt of The Infinity and Beyond" ... "The First"!Maybe.
The veteran I'm most excited about right now is Luigi. I thought he was very different from Mario in Brawl (and people think he and Mario may not even count as semiclones anymore, the only other pair of semiclones that they think of this way besides the Mario Bros. are Fox and Wolf), but they managed to give him more differences in 4 as well:
New jump animation when jumping forward.
Neutral combo animation on the first two jabs are different and Luigi is sent forward a little bit by the third and last jab.
Luigi now grabs and holds the opponent with one hand.
New down throw. (Though I have not seen if Mario's down-throw is the same as in Brawl.) Luigi throws the opponent to the ground, then plants his butt on the opponent.

I'm referring to a full Wii U box, actually- But hey, there's bound to be some kind of pack-in around then, even if it isn't Smash.
I sure said that!
