I got a feel about what Sunset Shore would be like if (hopefully) it's in there. Obviously the main gimmick would be the characters blacked out with their clothing only visible, ex: Zamus' rockets and wrist brackets, Mario's cap, Palutena's gold, Link's tunic, DK's tie, etc. It be either a sidescroller or a Battlefield clone and there be no real stage hazards really unless you count Tikis which would randomly appear. The Final Destination version would happen in the daytime with all the characters fully visible.
Vote. .#Bayonetta 4 SmashThe demo's version of Mushroom Kingdom U had no one show up, but later Sakurai confirmed Nabbit would appear every now and then. The demo is not representative of how the final version will play, so there's still a slight chance of a Punch-Out!! boss showing up there.
"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."
Not counting the playable Giga Bowser, every Boss shows up one particular stage in the other games too. So technically speaking, they're specific to a stage regardless.
I'm not sure if the actual meme(as in the word choice) has been done, but I did make an image of it.
◊ Anyway, as I said, I am glad he still shows up in some way.
As for third-party trophies, I'd love to see Earthworm Jim. And now you do, too.
For Punch Out A Ts, it's gotta be Bald Bull. He's been in every game in the series (save for one, which was remedied by him being the only Punch-Out!! character in Arm Wrestling by the same developers), and it'd be a shame to ruin the record...even though it's not actually a Punch Out game.
It's Alex Kidd, Sonic's predecessor as the mascot of Sega.

I don't really think Alex Kidd is really that obscure sure he hasn't had a new solo game in a while but people know him from other SEGA compilations.
I don't think of it as obscure if my Nephew who wasn't even born until 15 years after Alex Kidd's last starring game yet he knows about Alex Kidd.

Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre AdventureThe way Master Hand has worked mechanically in this series, is quite a bit different from the way the stage bosses are designed to work in this game. The best way to put it is that the earlier bosses were their own type of battle that used certain stages as arenas, whereas in this game the bosses we've seen so far are part of the stages themselves and are akin to a stage hazards.
My point is that it's likely that the Hands (at least) will appear in the more traditional way, especially since their usual arena - Final Destination - is unlikely to have an inherent stage hazard.

On the subject of bosses, from what I've seen of Yellow Devil, I hope they tone down their appearance rates, or it'll get old really fast, especially with how disruptive they are to the match.
One or more of the following:
- Bosses arrive and depart less frequently.
- Once defeated, a boss doesn't reappear within that match.
- Like how the Dragoon only appears sometimes, bosses only appear on their stage sometimes.
The first two would probably be ideal.
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!![]()
Well, Stage Hazards(Stage "Bosses" are just these in reality, albeit, a subset of them) are specific to a stage anyway. As are regular Bosses regardless. There's no actual difference, and that pretty much ignored my entire point.
And yeah, Alex Kidd is not that obscure. I've heard of it, quite a lot. Overshadowed by Sonic, but yeah.
Shadow?![]()
The second option is the one that works best.

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.![]()
I didn't ignore your point, I disagreed with what you seemed to be implying with it. All bosses have stages in which they are fought, by nature of being bosses in a video game. This in no way shape or form means all bosses that have an arena (read, most of them) interact with that arena the same way mechanically, and doesn't really mean anything for whether or not the previous boss mechanics and the "stage hazard boss" mechanics from this game should be considered the same.
In short, it's incidental. Hence "tied to stages in that way" as apposed to just "tied to stages."

Take this with a grain of salt, but in a Gamexplain video, a guest star (the guy who did Brawl Taunts) said that at a Nintendo World event showing off Smash shortly after E3, a person mentioned bosses showing up as events in Smash Run. Kraid and "one of the big" Kremlings were mentioned.
Dunno if that associate was speaking the truth, bu that's something to think about.
Something like the Dyna Blade event in Kirby Air Ride would be fun. Beat the boss to get loads of power ups.
I have a message from another time...![]()

I'd do both of the first two. From what I saw there was very little downtime between Yellow Devil attacks, which to me looks sorta distracting from the fight. The third can probably be excluded though.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!

Maybe stages from those games will show up in any possible DLC.
