@Tarsen: Despite this saying "trailer"
, it's really just the amiibo portion from Nintendo Treehouse @ E3. It mostly explains Nintendo's plans with the little things.
I'd buy Disney Infinity and some figures if I had the time and the money and the youth.
But since I'm busy and on a budget and old, I think I'll just get an amiibo or two. They really look fun. And maybe I won't just get Mario.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stay...I'll excuse myself now.

What is a fandom? A miserable little pile of flame wars! 3DS FC: 0387-9377-7408 PSN ID: Raven King SageAnyway, what I came here for is to point out how different the Japanese dialogue in that trailer is.
Lucina: "This is the power of a court-rank warrior."
"My father... I'll protect him!"
Robin: "You didn't want to say it?" (I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT HE MEANS OR IF I'M MISTAKEN OR WHAT.)
"I will turn the state of the war around!"
(His name is seriously "Rufure" in katakana, too, what the hell kind of a name is that.)
I won't go through all of the text because that's a lot of text and I don't understand everything, but one thing I can say is, I think he's a little less boastful, saying that he's not only a swordsman rather than "no ordinary".
Also.
Chrom: "Is it not... my turn?" (He literally says something like "does my turn not exist" but that just sounds weird.)
And the text afterwards is kinda like "not quite not".
Cute Robin: "Are you prepared?"
And the English text seems somewhat crudely crafted. Those scoundrels.

Well, that's the thing: I don't know. Up to this point, there hasn't been any ambiguity. Either the characters were playable or they weren't shown.
I'm pretty sure the intention of the game is for playable characters, but gosh dang if I don't have an irrational desire for a bingo.

"We're home, Chewie."As I understand, they were having trouble getting the feet to not look weird and wrong, so they just left them out. Most of the time you don't really notice, though. Even more so for mounted or transforming units.
The actual artwork and pre-rendered cutscenes have feet, though, just not the in-game models.

I only played the demo of Awekening and I thought they either had no feet, really tiny feet or one of those video game errors where a character is either floating two inches above the ground or sunk two inches into it.
I just assumed it was the latter for the demo, but the full game having feetless people everywhere? Sounds really weird...
And exactly how were they having trouble making feet look "not weird?" Hundreds of games on a bunch of other systems have had characters with feet, but FE devs decided "feet are hard, just leave them with skinny skin hoof things."

So in Smash it isn't going to do much in the ways of unlockables, and it seems to mostly be there as an extra toy to screw around with. Although other games (Mario Party 10 and Mario Kart 8, for example) will also use amiibo in currently unknown ways.
