Guys, regarding Lucina. She is a new character in the game, but she's not an entirely new character moveset. That's why there's no "Newcomer" thing for her. And, think about it, what else should they have done? Not give her a page of her own? But she is a new character. Should they just have said "lol go back to Marth's picture and imagine him with long hair"?
She's a skin and voice change.
PS: This update is double hilarious given the recent kerfluffle about Assassin's Creed.
Ubisoft: "Making female characters would've double the workload"
Sakurai: casually makes female versions of male characters
We all know Sal himself is credible. His source is not always. It's not his fault his source lied.
This is why I always tend to say "Sal's leaker" out of respect for Sal, since I do believe he's given some bullcrap sometimes. Not that he can tell. He can do nothing but report and hope for the best. I feel a bit bad for him, since I think some will give him the heat and not his leaker, who is anonymous.
Her page literally says "Newcomer." Also, she's on the same banner as Robin. See?
◊ My guess is that they are just sharing the same banner, but count as unique characters overall enough for their own page. I do think she's no more than an alt, but I want Sakurai to confirm that since the "Newcomer" wording is really weird. She could be a clone Alt or a Newcomer entirely.

Shadow?Between Gabe acknowledging the ladies of gaming and Sakurai cheerfully making it Super Bash Sisters 2014, they're really taking piss out of those stupid sexist fellers.
The three finest things in life are to splat your enemies, drive them from their turf, and hear their lamentations as their rank falls!![]()
Turns out people like options, and if you want female characters in your game, you plan for them in the budget and workload before you start.
Whoulda thunk it?

Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectYeah, this game has seen plenty of female newcomers.
But where are my villains.
What is a fandom? A miserable little pile of flame wars! 3DS FC: 0387-9377-7408 PSN ID: Raven King SageAbout as alike as two standard anime protagonists would look.
Visit my Tumblr! I may say things. The Bureau ProjectI think this kind of thing just gives me more hope for Ridley. And if Lucina is literally her own character(I'm kind of doubting this, since Sakurai made it sound like every new character will play uniquely, and she does look like to play like Marth, so...), that's 4 FE full characters. That increases my hope for a 3rd one for Kid Icarus, namely being Medusa.
Shadow? So how many female characters are there playable right now? We've got...
- Peach
- Rosalina
- Zelda (and Sheik)
- Samus (twice but same character)
- Wii Fit Trainer
- Palutena
- LUCINAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
- Playable Female Mii
- Playable Female Villager
- Playable Female Robin
That makes 10. Damn, it really is turning into Super Bash Sisters...
I do wonder, though, how they will factor in all of Robin's different possible appearances (besides the gender choice). I'm sure the standard costume changes will account for something, of course...
I'd like there to be an option where, if you have Awakening, you can export your game's avatar build into Smash, but I'm not sure how practical that would be.
@Rin: He's a blonde anime protagonist. They all look kinda samey after a bit.

Also, Robin and Lucina's artwork is awesome
◊. Have at 'em Kirby!
@Spooky: Nah man. I applaud it. I hoped for more female characters, and that's what we're getting.

Vote. .#Bayonetta 4 SmashImpossible. In the very off-chance that the leaker has based the leaks on just artwork, the purple clothes and laser BFS are kind of a dead giveaway.

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."

I think Robin uses the sword when he/she uses up the tomes.
Just like in Fire Emblem each weapon only has a certain number of uses but in this case just the tomes have a certain number of uses than they have to switch to the sword.
I'm guessing the tomes will come back after a while but they have to use the sword until they can use tomes again.
Batman Ninja more like Batman's Bizarre Adventure
