Something interesting

"What happened in the next year and a half was that we distilled the game down, worked out which ideas we had time to include and which we didn't. Sadly, we had to trim out many great concepts just to keep within the time contraints. I had a lot more characters, for example.. but sadly I can't discuss which ones didn't make it."

Well that's just going to happen. Not every concept can make it into the game.

Who wants to bet that transforming characters would still be in/transforming if they had more time?

I don't. I think they'd still be in if they had less time to make new Down B moves/final smashes.

Transformation is an interesting but ultimately failed experiment in Smash. I'm fine with it going, since it means the affected characters all have at least one more tool in their belts now.

I sure said that!

I haven't read anywhere yet...will Kirby copy custom moves or just the standard specials?

Very carefully.

So, just had a thought. Presuming an Awakening character is in- And that's pretty likely- I'd love to see an assist trophy consisting of Caeda, Elincia and Sumia doing a Triangle Attack.

I sure said that!

Off-topic, but were you ever able to do a Triangle Attack in Awakening?

If we do have a Triange Attack assist (which is a great idea btw) it'd probably be the Whitewings, or one of their expies.

Caeda, Elinca, and Sumia seem rather...random (and only one of them was involved with Triangle Attacking in her game of origin).

Don't PM me. We don't like being PMed.

... See, that'd be the biggest-name Pegasus Knight from each of the games the playable character was sourced from. Marth's wife, Ike's employer, Chrom's Implied Love Interest.

... But yeah, the Whitewings make more sense, I suppose.

Kirby crouches like a boss. It just looks like it takes such minimal effort.

Not like Meta Knight, who seems to not understand what "crouching" is.

Neutral-B: Normal Falcon Punch; Fast Falcon Punch that quicker, but has less reach and much less knockback; Charged Falcon Punch that takes longer to activate, but covers a very wide area and hits multiple times

Side-B: Normal Raptor Boost; Flame Choke, borrowed from Ganondorf; Short Raptor Boost with poor reach but punches the opponent high in the air

Down-B: Normal Falcon Kick; Phantom Kick that passes through projectiles and can be cancelled midway through, but deals almost no damage or knockback; Forceful Kick that hits in a small area around Captain Falcon

Up-B: Normal Raptor Boost; Acro-Boost that goes up much higher but has no hitbox; Diving Uppercut that does not grab opponents, but rather hits once for much greater knockback

Any thoughts?

Falcon doesn't want the Flame Choke nearly as much as he wants that ridiculous blaster of his.
