Doesn't really look like a stage, unfortunately. I know the same could be said of previous stages, if the right angle was used, but I would've liked to see more effort put in.

Sounds like it. I doubt it's the tanukis. Also, and it likely was shown before, but I'm actually disappointed that Pit's Hammer animation is the same. I know, it's weird for me to feel this way...

It's a funny little animation. I almost think it makes more sense now, given Uprising's tendency to lampshade the heck out of anything they mention from the NES game.

That doesn't change how weird it looks but that's kind of the point, hehe.

Why is it so funny to pick on Pit's inability to fly? Because here is another item discussion from me, this time regarding Rocket Belt.

Palutena: *Pit picks up the Rocket Belt* Hey, it looks like some one learned to fly at last.

Pit: Very funny, lady Palutena. You don't have to remind me all the time.

Palutena: Sorry. But anyway, the Rocket Belt is an useful utility item. You can use it to move upwards, allowing you to reach high places easier and get back to the battlefield easier.

Pit: Cool! I just hope that my wings won't catch fire due of it.

Palutena: I guess you do have experience on that happening to you. Not to bring up any bad memories, of course.

Pit: No, its fine. Just don't bring it up in any casual way.

Has anyone made one for Pit using the Cucco yet? I mean, it's the perfect set-up for a Pit-is-a-chicken joke.

[up][up]Nah. He's called the kid Icarus (sort of), so it's a foregone conclusion.

Um. No it isn't. Sure, the event is heavily foreshadowed, but just because NoA decided to call the series "Kid Icarus" despite the tale of Icarus having absolutely nothing to do with the game doesn't mean that scene is a Foregone Conclusion.

Some one ordered a Cucco discussion, and I deliver.

Pit: *Cucco appears* Nononononono!

Palutena: What's the matter, Pit? Too much of a chicken to attack a chicken?

Pit: There is a difference between cowardly and being suicidal. You have any idea what happens if you attack a Cucco?

Palutena: I guess you are right on that. Fortunately for you, you can actually throw one at your opponent to send the angry Cucco flock at them.

Pit: You sure about that? The last thing I need is to be pecked to death by bunch of chickens.

Palutena: Too much of a chicken to trust my words?

Pit: ...

In Japanese, the word for "chicken" is niwatori, which literally means "garden bird". Niwakani means "suddenly", but can also be parsed as "garden crab". Chickens are also part of a very famous Japanese tongue-twister. It's very easy to pun in the Japanese language.

Which characters do y'all think are most likely to get in?

I'm gonna say:

Shulk (representing a relatively new IP)

Chrom (because Fire Emblem is relevant)

Dixie Kong (Because of her appearance in Tropical Freeze, plus Smash does need more females)

Paper Mario (Because there are like no more Mario characters that can be used anymore, and he has a different moveset than normal Mario)

If Dark Pit became a separate character (if that scene in Palutena's trailer was even pointing towards it), how do you think he'd play? I'm not particularly rooting for him over, say, Medusa, but I imagine he could probably use the weapon types Pit isn't using.

Pit, thus far, has been seen using Bows, Arms, and Orbitars. That leaves a fair number of weapon types (Blades, Palms, Clubs, Staves, Claws, and Cannons) that could be used. I imagine that could be exploited to craft an entirely new moveset.

Final Smash could possibly be the Lightning Chariot. Or maybe the aerial Bow Special Attack from his fight in chapter 6.

I have a message from another time...

In Uprising, it's repeatedly stated from the very beginning that the Power of Flight can only be used for 5 minutes and that Pit's wings will burn up if he goes over it. Late in the game, Pit ends up going past the 5 minute mark in order to save Dark Pit's life. The result not only looks disturbing but leaves him comatose and unable to be restored by Palutena.

[up] Given how vastly different the two situations are, I'd say it's just a coincidence.
