Really there should just be a fighting game of Platinum Games vs Grasshopper Manufacture.
As a supporter of all 3 of these characters, this
◊ is fucking hilarious.
There was the "obnoxious fan" guy from the Robot Chicken segments from the E3 Nintendo Direct who was shouting about Mother 3, although I'm fairly certain that that was a jab at the equally obnoxious fan requests they may have dealt with and wasn't meant to have any significance.note
As for Nabbit, aside from obviously grabbing folks and stuffing them in his bag, I expect that he tries to carry them off the stage and/or is slowed down by his "loot" while he makes his getaway, so the other players can take the opportunity to beat up the fighter while he/she's trapped in the bag.

When Luigi joins the battle, Alfonzo is in charge of being kidnapped!
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaYou'd first need to get the game released on Nintendo's shores. And don't quote me on this, but I think Word of God said that fighting game characters are a no-go.

"Yeah, it's a shame. Here we are in an underground cave with all these lasers, and instead of having a rave we're using it for evil."Little Mac is technically a fighting game character.
That's a really odd thing to put a ban on, though - non video game characters I could see, but fighting game characters in particular? Especially when a lot of the characters that have been in fighting games have moves that draw from those? Doesn't sound very sensible.
Mega Man technically counts as well, but I assume Sakurai would be referring to characters that originated in a fighting game rather than later being used in one...

IIRC, it was more of a "limit" than a ban; something about Sakurai wanting to prevent his characters from playing too similarly to other fighting game veterans.
Not that it stops the clones, but oh well.
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guySakurai didn't say "no fighting game characters", though. That's a misquote. He said "no fighting game characters already similar to ones in Smash.", which is a major difference.
Especially if he considers Punch Out a fighting game. Regardless, they aren't banned and never were, unless the character was too similar to another playable one.
Shadow?

I know if Bayonetta doesn't get in this one doesn't stand a snowball's chance in the desert of happening...but for some reason I'm trying to imagine Jack Cayman from Mad World as a Smash contestant. Might try to make a moveset later just for kicks.
