And what exactly is wrong with SSB being a fanservice game? Fanservice (not Ms or Mr) is harmless. Then again, I love crossovers like Justice League.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!Next time you go to make another post so soon after your original one, please just edit your original one.
To answer your question, my main is Marth.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Original: Kirby, Ness
Melee: Kirby, Mr Game and Watch, Marth
Brawl: Kirby, Mr Game and Watch, Ike, King Dedede
For: Kirby and Mr Game and Watch are going to get the benefit of the doubt. Everyone else will go through trials. 5 mains altogether this time, so that i main about the same proportion of characters (roughly 1/9, since speculations are still pointing towards anywhere from 45-50 characters)

P Samus/Zamus/Snake depending on the game or if it's with friends or online.
In Melee it's Dr. Mario, in Brawl it's R.O.B..
Also, I'm working on coming up with an idea for a Ridley moveset. I have specials and a taunt down, I'll come up with other things and balancing later. No one minds if I share it, right?
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaI'm gonna be honest, I thought Greninja was Mewtwo until the Water Shuriken was clear. It was the padded fingers, man! Anyways, my mains are:
- 64: Samus/Link/Donkey Kong
- Melee: Link/Samus/Sheik/Marth
- Brawl: Link/Pit/Samus

I'm the guy who knows how to make games but doesn't. 3DS FC: 2878-9776-7579I, too, thought of Mewtwo when I first saw the direct.
Also:
64 - Pikachu, because of recovery and the game is awkward with the classic controller
Melee - Dr. Mario, until the pitiful range and recovery get to me. Otherwise, Marth.
Brawl - Again, Marth. Sometimes Falco, for slight flavor.
Project M - Ganondorf, all the way. He's a heavier, slower version of Captain Falcon who's also easier to use.
For - I can't tell until the game is released. I don't understand why people are already listing mains.
"What's out there? What's waiting for me?"You ever notice how talked-about Fire Emblem is in relation to Smash Bros? Of all the franchises in Smash Bros, I know next-to-nothing about Fire Emblem. I know some of Metroid's backstory and premise, I've at least played a Pokemon title, I know about F-Zero, Earthbound, Ice Climbers, Star Fox, etc.
The Fire Emblem characters are referenced often: the names Chrom, Lyn, Severa, Lucina, Roy, and Baldur buzz about in my head even though I know next to nothing about them). It's perplexing to me, because before I played Melee I had no idea who Marth or Roy were. Fire Emblem was more enigmatic to me than even Earthbound. But the volume of Fire Emblem-centric conversation these days would make you think it eclipsed Pokemon or Mario in popularity.
Even the fanfiction of Super Smash Bros adores the characters of Ike, Roy, and Marth. You can scarcely go a page without a story involving them.
It seems that people in different parts of the world nerd over different franchises than me. That is unacceptable. A pox upon these pretenders. Kirby is clearly the most notable and significant character/franchise in the game. And the scariest. He can eat you and copy your power and appearance. Let's see Marth do that.

Seriously - because I know almost nothing about it - more moveset potential than Link, or Kirby, or Mario, and their wealth of combat-oriented paraphernalia? Hell, Mario's weaponized a Tanuki and a Cat costume. So many Continuity Nod-s are possible with those three alone.
Or do you mean, due to the fact that the Fire Emblem representatives haven't been decided yet?

"it" meaning "Fire Emblem". So far, we've seen a few styles of swordplay for Fire Emblem Smash characters.
Meanwhile, Fire Emblem as a whole has guys in heavy armor wielding lances, people swinging axes astride flying dragons, swift assassins, bowmen, dual-axe-wielding pirates, several types of spellcasters, dancers and bard, and people who can turn into beasts, birds, and dragons.
I have a message from another time...XY players will immediately know it is Greninja.
Also, note Greninja's pads aren't round. They're circular, but they are FLAT. It can make those "finger" shapes in the trailer and one can excuse that its webbed area between its fingers wouldn't cast a silhouette. Hell, the sausage fingers should pretty much tip that it's not Mewtwo because Mewtwo has balls for fingertips.
I'm not arguing against reaction of people thinking that they saw was Mewtwo - I'm arguing at the fact that people think the trailer apparently intended to look like Mewtwo/Sakurai was ribbing on to make it look like Mewtwo when in fact it isn't the case at all. It's just confirmation bias getting in the way.

As a counterpoint, I might as well have not known of Greninja's existence beforehand and didn't think it was Mewtwo. I'm with Ookamikun on this one. People just saw what they wanted to see.

I am hoping to play Awakening, LBW, and Dream Team in these next couple of weeks.
I haven't been able to game that much on vacation because of family events.
