Maybe as potential post-game DLC, but as in the mainland roster? Nope, way too recent. Smash 5 tho...
Vote. .#Bayonetta 4 SmashI keep reading Inkling as Inglet
and think "Not much to make a fighter out of".
And was still added in to advertise the latest Fire Emblem game(before it came out, no less). The clone part just made him easier to implement, but he was going to add another FE character anyway.
Remember, Roy originated officially in SSB, not FE. It's obviously not his main series, as the FE symbol shows, but it's his first appearance.
Shadow? You know, it's weird, but I can't really imagine a Smash 5. But I guess that's partially because if it lasts at least as long as Brawl (which it probably will and then some), the next game will be released in the impossibly far-off future of 2020.
I... feel really fucking old right now.

Mario Kart DS is 8 years old, and Supr Smash Bros. Brawl is 6.
I'm likely younger than you and I feel old, too. ;-;

🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaWhat are you talking about Baffle? Don't you remember that totally legit 100% real Smash 6 leak thing we got? :V(Sorry, couldn't help myself)
Yeah, I'd imagine Splatoon would be lucky to get an AT, especially considering both Wonder Red and Dillon were passed up. I'd still love a stage though, but the chances of that are null.
"And kung fu is a terrible way to run a company" - alliteratorThough, I'm also not sure what the price range of the amiibos are projected to be. I imagine they'd be slightly more expensive than a Skylanders figure due to the fact that amiibos are intended to be used in more than one game or franchise of games.
Yeah, I know it's probably too late for a main roster, but I really really hope post-game DLC is a thing, because then we could get stuff like Inkling, other new characters, and cut characters back in. They could probably even do it as a promotion and have Inkling as a DLC bonus that you can get when you buy Splatoon day one!
...I'm desperate.
Y'know, I just had a thought- I think Pit's customizations will include alternate weapons for his Side and Down Specials.
So, instead of swinging the Upperdash Arm, he could swing the Compact Arm, speeding its delivery but shortening his range, or the End-All Arm, granting increased power but making the swing slower?
His Down Special could be... Maybe the Eyetrack Orbitars, shooting two homing projectiles but leaving him open, or the Centurion Orbitars, a compromise weapon that fires a moving shield in front of him and an arrow shot behind him?
I sure said that!I don't like the idea of downloadable content in my Super Smash Bros.
The way to unlock everything has always been "Beat X mode on Y difficulty". Not "Buy for Z dollars"...
Unless the DLC was totally free. Then sure.
You gotta believe me when I scare you away, all that I wish for is that you would stayI wouldn't mind more Mii classes — that seems like something easy to DL Ctize.
"It's liberating, realizing you never need to be competent." — UltimatepheerI'm fine with DLC as long as they don't cut effort from the main game in order to make it.

It's kind of crazy to think that half of the Mario Kart and Smash Bros. series' will have released in the time gap between the release of Kirby: Canvas Curse and the release of Rainbow Curse. 10 years... man.
