Something's been bothering me: why ban customization online? That kind of defeats the whole point of it being there. I could use custom movesets against strangers in Dragon Ball Z Raging Blast without any problems. Why not here?

Otherwise, it would bring up complaints about fairness, optimal customizations, or similar. You can still use it with friends, and it's not like the game doesn't have single-player modes.

Not really. I mean, I'm pretty sure you can still use it against friends. Not to mention local multiplayer, or even single player.

Customization is NOT for the purpose of Curb-stomping random Online players with your OP combinations, it IS for the purpose of Curb-stomping your friends Online and Offline with your OP combinations.

I just want a Smash Bros cartoon after seeing Palutena's intro.

The official website has some info on character customization now.

Come to think of it, if you can't use customized movesets in online battles, and Palutena's main gimmick* seems to be her customizability, what does that mean for her?

* I wonder how she'll play apart from that. Based on what I could see, she seems almost like a lightweight heavyweight with slow movement (unless using a speed-boosting move) and slow but powerful attacks. She also seems reminiscent of Tsubaki from Blaz Blue, which I'm just all kinds of okay with.

PS: Trip, that is a really lovely avatar! Where is it from, if I may ask?

Pac-Man's trailer honestly excited me more than Palutena's. I guess just because Pac-Man was a character I didn't really care about, yet looked really fun and unique once I saw him, while Palutena was a character I wanted, but some of the trailer elements (her new voice actor, the dialogue in general, the random awkward Fanservice) were kind of eh...

Yeah, gotta admit I'm not a big fan of that voice either.

Palutena has a new voice actress? I didn't even notice a difference.

Pac Man Collection (GBA) and Pac Land (NES) just went on the eshop this morning at a discounted intro price. They really are trying to hype this.

On the other hand, Miiverse is comparing him to Goku...

Probably bad. Like "that character people seemed to want but was never going to happen."

Wow, really? They just quietly put two games on the eShop like that?

Eh.

[up][up][up][up][up]Bad, as in "random third party character whose inclusion makes it seem more like M.U.G.E.N than Smash Bros."

Reminds me of time when I heard someone on a video wondering how much it cost to get rights to make a game about Dracula.

Speaking of feeling clever, I was just riding my bike to the library when I had to stop and pull over, because that was the moment I realized why it was "Elijah Wood like to battle", and I had to ponder if I was more disgusted at the pun or at how long it took me to get it.
