Final Destination = A Flat Plane...
Battle Field = A Flat Plane with 2 more Flat planes above each side and 1 more Flat plane in the middle but still above those 2.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Likewise - especially the part Battlefield being balanced for more characters than Final Destination. That said, I think my favorite stages are Smashville and Luigi's Mansion.
Still, whenever I'm playing with friends (and only with friends, since it tends to piss off people otherwise), I like to suddenly pick Summit when nobody is paying attention at least once a night. Not because it's one of my favorite stages, but because it's hilarious (no ledges, five jumps, Kirby bitches!). As long as I get that in at least once a night, I'm game for anything... except Mario Bros.

Mario Bros. and Hanenbow are the only stages I really dislike playing on. I find 75m a bit awkward and less entertaining than the other stages, but tolerable.
I'm in the minority by liking Rumble Falls, it seems.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!i have a Brawl-related story:
One day in 2012, my friends (well, one of them is a former friend) and I were playing Brawl's tournament mode. One of the matches was me as Bowser, the former friend as Meta Knight, and the other two as Wario and Link respectively. So in the end of match, it's just me and the Meta Knight player left. He is flying above, so I win the match by using Bowser's up smash attack to KO him. He is angry at the fact that I "cheated" (he views attacking air-born opponents as cheating...and using Sonic because of Super Sonic. (the irony here being that he was META KNIGHT)). So what happened next match? I was not allowed in it, even though it was MY copy that we were playing. (Disproportionate Retribution much?)
Well, the MK player is a bossy person, so that's why I stopped being friends with him. He is also bossy when it comes to first-person shooters (why is the community for those games horrible?), so he has contributed to my disliking of playing multiplayer regularly with any human player. I have softened with this mentality, but I still prefer going against the AI of a game.
AAAAUUUUGGGHHHH!!!!That's laughably petty and scrubbish. Attacking foes in the air constitutes cheating by what train of logic?
Can agree with both of those; Wario Ware Inc would be better if the rewards were either absent or at least balanced, and that Rumble Falls would be better off without random speed-ups. I still enjoy both, though.

Wouldn't it be a better option to just turn off the Micro-games gimmick entirely?

Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Nah, then the stage would just be a slightly altered Battlefield. The microgames are interesting because they change the stage layout and provide some hazards. It's just that the rewards for clearing them are not distributed evenly for no real reason. One person can get invincibility while another gets a negligible health boost even if they both won the game, for example.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I actually like Mario Bros., but as I've said it feels more like a bonus screw-around mode than anything.
I also prefer Battlefield... in Brawl, since it certainly helps an aerial-oriented R.O.B. player like me. In Melee I would've picked Final Destination since it's easier to predict what people are doing (there's only one layer to worry about there).
But I never unlocked FD in Melee. Curse you, Nintendo Hard events! ;-;
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaI'd just take out the possibility of getting the invincibility then...and make the health restore actually significant.
Rules of the Internet 45. Rule 45 is a lie. Check out my art if you notice.Sometimes I can't help but notice that your reward for clearing a microgame is sometimes NOTHING. Like, you get the little circle indicating you won, but you don't get anything. No status or health restoration.
I'd just make it so that everyone who clears a given game gets the same reward, and make said reward based on how many people clear the game. If everyone wins, no reward. If three win, health boosts. If two win, supersizing. If only one wins, invincibility.

You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I actually love Wario Ware without the hazards(mini-games). I didn't find them very fun, and the rewards are blatantly unbalanced.(Invincibility could've been Spicy Curry and it wouldn't been fine)
That said, I also prefer Melee FD. It also has better sides that are easier to grab and such. Brawl's feels way too small, as well as you can easily die due to the outer lips of the stage gimping recoveries. I don't like that. That's part of why I feel it's better as a counterpick than a starter. In Melee, it's much more balanced. Enough size to maneuver even characters like Bowser, and it's not ridiculously hard to recover on, even below the stage.
Capcom Fighters aren't based around platforming. It actually makes sense to have a flat stage with no platforms. Smash Bros. is a completely different type of fighting game, and has actually a unique set of moves that also depending on platforms to properly use them. It's a different ballpark. Like comparing apples to oranges at this point.

Shadow? If I had to choose, I prefer Melee's FD to Brawl's. The large area makes for dodging projectiles and made for players that took large damage to get back in the match much easier. Smash 4's FD looks more like a middle of the road between Brawl's and Melee's sizes.
But enough about stages, let's talk about mains. Of the 30 revealed so far, I look to main...
1. Zamus
2. Pit
3. Megaman
I'd try out Little Mac, but I'm a very aerial player when it comes to fighting games. :/
Vote. .#Bayonetta 4 Smash

Final Destination just bores the hell out of me.
At least Battlefield has levels to it, rather than just being a flat plane.
