Funny thing is... until you mentioned Harmo Knight, I had no idea it even existed.

Why would he have said Magikoopa instead of Kamek? Isn't Kamek the term for Magikoopas in general in Japan?
...The game isn't even out yet outside Japan, dude. It wouldn't surprise me if the Miiquality campaign helped some, considering that it outright condemned boycotting the game even before Nintendo's response and encouraged people to buy the game afterwards. At the very least I certainly doubt it hurt much.

Presumably the Japanese post had him mention Kamekku, the Japanese name for magikoopas and Kamek. It's like the Toad species/specific Toad conundrum in America. In any even, Kamek is the only one who can do stuff like change the stage, and it would be a huge mistranslation, so Kamek will appear on this stage.
Normally, I'd agree about Kamek/Magikoopa, but SSB itself isn't canon, so that doesn't really help much either. Link could never kick, for instance.
I'd say wait and find out. Best we can do is hope they translate Kamek(or Magikoopa)'s trophy as it's supposed to be. I mean, again, what can the translator do here? Not like the name is different. It's just an iffy situation. Even if Kamek isn't playable, that might not be him up there.
Shadow? When Kamek joins the battle, Kammy takes over the stage!
Hugging a Vanillite will give you frostbite. If anyone wants to check (and can also read Japanese), here's the Japanese post.
Regardless, Kamek was (to my knowledge) the only Magikoopa in New Super Mario Bros. U anyways. It would make sense to say Kamek.
🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaYou know, I was wondering if the daily Smash pic is going to go on a different time schedule while Sakurai is at E3.
Probably not, but it's just a thought.

Trophies based on stages, ala Peach's Castle and Mute City (Melee), or Luigi's Mansion and Halberd (Brawl).
And this time, they look like little dioramas~

🏳️⚧️she/her | Vio Rhyse AlberiaAh, the stage-based trophies. They were one of the little things that made the trophy section great.

In addition, i've now scoured from page 1500 to about the 1720s or so (May 1st). I don't think any more little bits of interest were written in May.
Next comes the slog from 800 to 1350. But i think this has most of the content we could be looking for (though who knows how many were made in that 550 page gap)

It's a little more complicated than that. Each texture has to have code that tells the game what to do if a player entity (and possibly other entities) comes into contact with it. When the player or some other entity gets to a place that the dev team didn't think you could reach, the collision detection gets weird (assuming there's any at all, which there usually isn't). I don't know the exact process behind it but it is more than likely more time consuming than you think.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Sooo... Apparently they just annunced the Nintendo minute?
At this point I can't prevent myself to overhype. How much info is that?
Edit: Maybe I should've written that in the E3 thread. But we don't know, they might reveal some Smash new in there too, so I'm maybe not that off-topic.
