I've seen a few other USB devices do the same thing so it's nothing new.
Let the joy of love give you an answer! Check out my book!Question answer...(prob)
Unless you're actually using 1 of the USB slots for a USB drive, the taking up both slots doesn't matter. Anything Nintendo makes USB related for their consoles it'll most likely take both slots.

Now with a delightful little conversation the thread wrote a little after page 1500: Rosalina and Palutena have tea, discuss goddess-things.
Palutena currently reigns supreme on likelihood. She's as close to a shoe-in as any character can be.
After the brain dead choice, things get a bit murkier. Right now I say Pac-Man is next most likely, being Namco's mascot a major icon in his own right. Then there's Chrom, the recent Fire Emblem protagonist, which as a rotating series generally gets a character from the newest game. Chrom has some competition from his own game though, so he's pushed down to third.
Next we look at the other Gematsu characters. Mii was always likely and honestly should be a shoe-in, but they don't have much support and could fill other roles. Plus they showed up in several places in the April Direct, but they're far from dead. Shulk has a lot of requests, and he'd be good advertising for X as well, so he's likely. Chorus Men rely purely on the Gematsu leak, but ignoring possible technical issues they're not horrible choices. Hardcore fans would react even worse than Wii Fit Trainer, but oh well. Not too likely, but possible.
I'll address Dixie and others later.

Master Hand.
hooray for specifics
"Tell them to shut up and have some faith in me." - dead flashback guyEvery playable character that has been featured in all 4 games, barring the Forbidden 5 and Snake, Squirtle and Ivysaur. And Mewtwo and Dixie.
Vote. .#Bayonetta 4 SmashLet's look at established franchises.
Onto the franchise that most deserves to get a newcomer, Donkey Kong. Dixie is certainly an option, having both relevancy and popularity on her side. She's also one of the 4 All-Stars that still need to get in. Some dispute her moveset potential, but I'm sure something unique can be done. On the other hand, there's K. Rool, who's probably the overall most popular choice worldwide, and is a villain, which Smash 4 desperately needs. He's definitely got moveset potential, but his problem is recency. The Kremlings are in Smash Run, showing that they aren't forgotten. I also suspect K. Rool will be the villain for Retro's next DK game, but that's just speculation on my part. Along with Dixie, he's another All-Star who should get in. Both are strong contenders, and in an ideal world we'd get both. Cranky is technically another option, but he's not happening before those two.
Next up is Metroid. Which is basically Ridley, especially with Dark Samus out. I don't feel like going over him, so let's just say he's unlikely, but still possible. He's another All-Star, but as seen with Toad it's not a guarantee.
Mario is unlikely to get anyone else, with the two main options being Bowser Jr. and Paper Mario. Both are good choices, but I doubt Mario will get anyone else new.
Zelda probably won't get a newcomer at all. None of the choices are great. There's Tingle, who's probably the most deserving Zelda newcomer, but he's disliked overseas. Ghirahim has support, but I think he's got no shot, seeing how he's a one-shot villain. Impa is possible, but likely redundant with Sheik still around. Then there's Ganon (no dorf), so that all of the Triforce trio have a counterpart. He's also unlikely.
Fire Emblem has plenty of options that aren't Chrom. From Awakening there's Tactician, who wouldn't be another swordie, but isn't exactly Awakening's face. Lucina would be even more similar to Marth than Crom would be. Anna is the series mascot, but she's not a huge player. With Lyn out, I don't think a Lord from another game has a shot. Except for Roy, who will probably frontline the DLC if it exists.
Yoshi's options are Kamek, who's very unlikely, and Baby Mario, who I hope I don't have to address. Wario has Kat & Anna, who are still alive, and Captain Syrup, who'd be a nice villain. They're all unlikely.
I don't know much about Earthbound, but I doubt there will be a third rep.
Kid Icarus also probably won't have a third rep, and Palutena will be number two, but Medusa still has a slim shot. Slim, but it's not impossible.
I don't expect a Kirby newcomer, but if we get one it'll probably be Bandanna Dee. I don't know much about the series.
Don't count on a Pikmin newcomer (hard to create unique movesets) or a Star Fox newcomer (it's already got lots of representation, and Krystal isn't exactly liked in Japan). I probably don't need to address Ice Climbers, Game & Watch, or R.O.B.
So that leaves Pokemon. We've got 4, 5 with Jigglypuff. Brawl had 6, so there's enough room for Mewtwo, but he's not guaranteed. 7 is possible. Sceptile has a very slim shot, but he's the most likely Pokemon newcomer. We could also get something random like Genesect, but that's even more unlikely.
That'll be Marth.
Speaking of FE, a newcomer reveal from that series is long overdue as is Palutena (due to all the overt teases). Miis I can see being in and I wouldn't be surprised to see them get revealed at E3 along with any remaining third-party characters.

The adapter plugs into the two USB ports on the front of the Wii U, leading to four GCN controller ports identical to the ones on the the Gamecube and the Wii.
I sure said that!
