I suppose. But still, quite the heartbreaker. At least he didn't poke fun at him like he did Waluigi.

Quick question, what stages in Melee and Brawl (and this game) don't have playable characters attached to them?

Besides FD and Battlefield, Brawl had Pictochat, Hanenbow and Smashville (at the time). Never played Melee, but, according to what I checked, it didn't have any such stages.

I didn't want Wonder Red in.

What I've seen of W101 doesn't look that appealing to me.

Wonder Red would be a perfectly fine character, but he was fighting an uphill battle even if there are no rights issues. I'm glad he's at least getting mentioned. Paves the way for an upgrade in the future.

Still looks like no news on a GS character.

Ah well.

Pretty close to the Wii U version's release. I'd be surprised if we didn't get some kind of gen 3 representation with this development.

Also, "new" world. Pfft.

Nah, those are just glow-y artsy depictions. The actual body shapes and colors are the same- I'm predicting a holofoil box cover for both versions.

And the thing is, XY changed enough things that I'm willing to bet ORAS won't be as super-faithful as FRLG or HGSS, especially since RS is generally held as the weakest set of games in the series.

I sure said that!

I'd like it if ORAS (so tempted to write OARS) introduced some other Gen 3 Megas. Even if it's jus Sceptile and Swampert. Although, Mega Slaking would be amazing, even if it only changes the Ability.

Mega Sableye? This was the gen it was introduced after all.

Or maybe less OP a Mega Hariyama. Or Mega Seviper/Zangoose exclusives

Oh really when?

[up][up] other newcomers have shown up with big fanfare in a trailer. Showing the trophy in a daily update seems to suggest that's the extent of the character's involvement.

[up] what more does Sableye truly need at this point? Prankster shenanigans are amazing.

You know, as much I wouldn't mind Mega Sceptile, I really don't want it to be its Final Smash if (and hopefully) Sceptile gets in. We have two Pokémon which does it, we don't need third one (I would pick Frenzy Plant, all thing considered). Though it will most likely happen.

I imagine the Mega Evos used by Lucario and Charizard (and Mewtwo) are part of a Final Smash that also involves some sort of big attack.

Eh, it doesn't seem like Lucario's is, at least...we've already seen that it's a Super Mode that makes all his Aura attacks at full power. A big attack on top of that would seem rather broken.

Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeh.

I guess I'll preemptively try to warm myself up for Sceptile. It's my least favorite starter of my favorite type (though not nearly my least favorite starter in general), but I guess it might have cool lizardy abilities that let it climb up walls or something like that. It might be cool.

No mention of Blaziken? It did get a Mega Evolution and it's a popular Gen III Pokemon.
