Works for Megaman. Not sure for everyone else.

Either it eats you, Boss Bass style? Or it eats you, and spits out your skeleton, which then disappears?

Just floating around...

Ornes don't eat you. It's just contact damage probably, like in KIU.

Also, the only thing that can kill Ornes in KIU are the Three Sacred Treasures.

If you've got a heavy enough character and you're at the right part of the stage, it is possible to survive the Ultimate Chimera, if my memories aren't deceiving me, with a little bit of luck.

Maybe these Ornes just send you flying nonstop until you finally die, and there's no way to prevent it :V

So, is this Orne a Run enemy or a stage hazard on Palutena's Temple? I'm betting on the latter because I doubt you can be actually killed during the preparation stage.

[up][up][up][up] The Orne doesn't eat you or have any form of attack. It just kills you if you touch. Kills you by Mind Rape , according to its Idol description.

The pic is of the 3DS version so it's probably Smash Run. I'm guessing if it touches you, you'll lose all the power-ups you've collected or at least a good portion of them.

I don't see how it could be done, but what if Captain Falcon could use his gun in the next smash bros game?

[up][up]Captain Falcon has a gun? Probably from any other F-Zero type stuff I never cared to know about.

Its seriously the most minor thing that it really doesn't catch the eye normally.

I believe this is the first Mother reference in the POTD. About time.

Between that reference and the Mr. Saturn and the badge as items again, MOTHER rep (kinda) confirmed. But honestly, was there ever true honest-to-goodness doubt that there wasn't gonna be any MOTHER rep in some form (be it Ness, Lucas or both)? Other than the in the normal paranoid wings of the fanbase?

There were people who insisted Yoshi was cut. So I'm sure there's people doomsaying MOTHER representation too.

I think Ness is a guarantee, and Lucas is likely too. No real reason to drop from 2 reps to 1.

The mention of the Chimera, in this context, is more of a Brawl reference than anything.

Here's an idea...Pokemon Trainer returns as a fighter, but without any Pokemon.

His moves consist largely of weak punches and kicks and throwing empty Pokeballs, but his Final Smash makes up for it by momentarily taking control of an opponent like a Pokemon. tongue

Yes. tongue But the joke is more meta than simply his appearance.

Namely, that a Pokemon Trainer without any Pokemon would be pretty useless...[lol]

Not really. They're still people, and have the ability to fight. They're just next to useless in their own universe, where the world's wildlife is capable of controlling the elements.

Why would Pokemon Trainer's hits be any less effective than, say, Ness or Lucas'? It's still hitting somebody.
