Ah. It happened.

I could actually see Missingno as a Pokeball Pokemon. It would create a bunch of items, then disappear - kind of like Tingle.

Pokéball Missingno. should also have a small chance of appearing as a skeletal fossil Pokémon.

Okay, on the subject of pokeballs, this is something I've wondered for a very long time.

THE FUCK DOES MEW DO?

For some reason, my mind jumped immediately to the Helix Fossil, even though I know you mean the Kabutops skeleton.

[up] be a rare event. And give bonus points/stickers.

Functionally nothing in 64 and Melee, but it drops CDs in Brawl. Celebi does nothing in Melee, but drops Trophies in Brawl, and Jirachi drops Stickers.

I sure said that!

[up]The only thing the Mew expies did before Brawl was add points to your "bonus".

That's something I wish they bring back. Scoring bonus points by doing all sorts of stuff makes Melee's 1p modes much more satisfying to finish than Brawl's classic mode.

Mew: Drops a Single CD.

Jirachi: Drops (X amount) of stickers.

Celebi: Drops 5 trophies.

???

Obviously Manaphy is the best.

I was kind of dissapointed when I found out Manaphy was amongst the "once in a blue moon" pokemon. With such an unique power, I was expecting to see them more often (and thus having my idiot cousin commiting suicide thinking it'll work on his favor evil grin)

Manaphy was fun.

And yeah, Bonus Mode and the Bonuses in general are really fun to have available. Just either make getting them all nothing important or get rid of "No Damage" Bonus. Going through every stage without getting hit is ridiculously hard. It's bad enough in 64. Melee is barely doable for some characters(if Giant Young Link shows up, you're screwed), but not impossible. But with a huge Classic/All-Star, and possibly a return of the old Adventure Mode, that's just not doable. Doing it without dying, yeah, believable. Maybe not on every difficulty, but eh.

I do like the challenges like beating Classic on Very Hard(or its replacement, Intense in Brawl only, since Very Easy was removed) with 1 Life. Infinite continues, but whatever. Really fun idea.

Actually, I was thinking of the Aerodactyl skeleton. I knew there was another one, but I forgot it was Kabutops.

Though I could see people conflating the Helix and Missingno.

I've had an idea. How about Custom Winning Themes?

For example, Samus has the Item Get sound from her series. What if, if it was changeable, she can also get the theme that plays after you escape Zebes in Super Metroid?

Sounds cool. But I like the fighters' signature fanfares. Custom moves is a pretty big gift in itself.

It'd probably be enough just to give every character a unique fanfare, as was originally planned for Brawl.

Yeah, I'd like to give everyone a unique fanfare rather than share them all.

Or at least, different versions of the same fanfare per series, like how Meta-Knight's is the same theme as Kirby's and Dedede's, just metal.

For some, like Mario, you could have his standard, his Mario 3 Course Clear, Mario World Course Clear, Mario 3D World World Clear...

Also, for Olimar? I think this would fit a LOT better.

For Mario, definitely keep his standard SMB 1 level clear.

And I like that custom Olimar victory theme.

Sorry for my crappy memory and laziness that prevent me from getting the answer myself... did they say anything about the (new) classic mode? I don't see them getting rid of it anytime soon, but I don't think we've heard anything about it.

Maybe it's going to be rougly the same as Brawl's, which I want to say was fun enough, but I'll be honest, I find it reptitive and I think they could use some more variation. It was pretty much just level, level, migame and another level untill the boss, and the stages were pretty much always the same on their respective level.

I see people were proposing that each level try something a bit different, maybe different depending on which character you pick or a theme... I hope you see where I'm going.

Sadly I don't find it that likely. And even then, it seems the 3ds version is going to be... a bit limited? At least it would still be good enough to wait untill the wii U release.

No information on Classic Mode has come up. He's talked only about Adventure Mode specifically. And some of the Online, being For Fun and For Glory.

I doubt they'd drop Classic, especially if they're keeping All-Star.

That being said, I wonder how the possibility of DLC characters would affect those modes. I imagine it wouldn't be too hard to simply add the DLC character into the random pool for Classic, but All-Star Mode would become harder for each character added post-release. I guess not significantly so, though.

I thought it was already made clear they aren't doing DLC characters.

Irene (4 Score & 7 Years Ago) Relationship Status: Crazy Cat Lady

That's not correct. He said no plans for DLC were made at the time. He's never outright said "they won't happen". Putting them in later might actually happen, if he can make space for them as is. Which should be possible if the DLC is saved to your system/memory card.
